JK Knives Passaround Review Thread

Ok gentlemen. I will be dropping these in the mail tomorrow. Here are my thoughts:

Hiker's Backup is a stout little tool. It has a handle that is a bit small for my tastes, but I wouldn't be using it for a ton of day to day woods activities. I envision this knife fitting well in my pocket and being used for day to day duties at the place I work or while I'm doing whatever the heck I seem to do in civilization.

EDC is my favorite. I was drawn to it immediately. This is the knife I would love to drag around on my errands and have as a peanut butter spreader, salami cutter, cheese nibbler, fuzz stick maker, etc...

Jake's Keppy. Well, I have the bigger one and now I want one like this! Full size handle and a short, stout blade. Simply put, a knife that does yeoman work!

Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this passaround. Knives will be on their way to Jeff H in tomorrow's mail.

Nice review man. They are all great knives, and I tend to believe your idea of what they are suited to. That edc bushcrafter with the extra handle length is a very comfortable user, for my hands anyways. The HB is a great little knife, I agree it is very well suited to EDC tasks.

That keppy is IMO a big knife in a small knifes clothes. Well suited for a woods knife, but at the same time can be carried very discreetly in an urban setting.

Nice work man!

Photobucket will show that when anything is deleted or moved.

J,
I like the shots of the fatwood you are batoning. I know of many times when kindling needs to be split that small just to get something to light.

Yeah. I find if I baton the fatwood, it doesnt gunk up the blade as bad as tryin to carve off a chunk.....

Yeah I had to re upload the pics. I dont know how they were deleted, I havent deleted nothin off my page......weird.

I can already tell that little Keppy is going to get to me. I'm almost afraid to handle it :)

Hey guys, John just informed me that he will be out of town for a bit for a family emergency. He said he will be back in a few days, and doesnt have internet access down there, and wanted me to pass this along to all of us.......

Both JK's have arrived!

Oh, wait! There's another one in there!:D

Sorry, JW.:o You know I would never had done that if I were within smackin' distance:D

OK, I need a few days, here, being a week day and there being THREE to run through their paces. I will get this knocked out and get them back on their way.
