Joe Allen Knives

Another beauty Joe. I really like how you stamp my name on your knives even if you spell it wrong. Just kidding of course. Elegant work.

Alan

HI everyone this Beautiful Sept. 7-2020, I Took some quick pics of my latest knife which is still in the making ,need a few touch up an finnishing touches . Not sharpened yet either. This Lanny’s Clip in Madrone Burl wood with CPM-154 steel .100 thick blade. 3 7/8” closed an 6 7/8” open. Any one know how to keep wood shiny ??? Ive tried lemon Oil an vaseline but all does not do this gorgeous wood any justice. I might try Renaissance Wax , I JUST PUT THE WAX ON . will see if it does any good or not. If you would like info about this knife go to Knifemakers for sale section under folders . Please click Like or comment if you wish. Thank you - Joe

Hi to all Friends of the Blade : I just finished this Medium size Trapper in jigged Amber bone , What looks like shrunken sheild is the jigging concaves around the shield ,looking at it in person you don’t see anything but the jigging marks which is lower than the shield ,but it is not shrunken . This knife is as close to perfect as they come. The blade an spring are made of CPM-154 stainless steel at 60 rc on the heat treat . The opening pull is around 3 to 4 with good snap in all three very flush positions. The closed length is 3.5” . Comes with Letter of Authenticity and Black leather zip pouch . Please give comments if you wish an enjoy this Knife . Thank you , Joe

Hi everyone . What I have today is one of Tony Bose’s Famous knives -the Lanny’s Clip. But their is a difference in this New Super Lanny’s Clip #1 , it is an extended 1/4” length with 4 1/8” total over all closed length, where the Original one was 3 7/8” long closed. This Super Lanny has the same as the last Lanny I posted on here ,it has Madrone Burl wood scales with a Bomb shield inlay an fluted bolster. About a five on the opening pull, and with three very flush blade positions . Hope you enjoy these pictures. Joe

Thanks John, I try to get all things tight fitting , some times you might have a pop up at some joint area after it is done and that makes me try harder in all area's. Appreciate the comment.

Thank you Shawn, its not perfect but darn close and for what I'm asking, find anyone anywhere doing this type of work at my prices and let me know. Joe

HI Fans of the Blade! Today i'm working on one EUREKA Jack in Pearl an I'm almost done with it. The Backstrap needs finished on the belt sander and then sharpen it and that's about as much damage as I'm going to do with it. I think I will never inlay a Shield on Pearl again , it robs from the beauty of the Pearl and never shows a good clean cut fit and finish , so this is my last pearl inlay. Hope you enjoy the knife. It is flush in 3 positions an opens with about a 3 to 4 hardness and snaps good . 154-CPM steel -center pin and scale pins are nickel, the rest is stainless -bolsters and such. Thank you and comment if you like it or not . Joe
