John Lloyd Knives

Andi said it: just a great looking knife. Very classy, looks sturdy and useful as well. Wharncliffe/swayback is one of my favorite pocket knife patterns.
What size is that one? Looks about 3 3/8"?

I can't take a picture right now without funny looks from my co-workers, but I have my Lloyd mammoth trapper in my pocket right now. Tight construction, good snap, and super sharp carbon steel blade.

You know it Duncan! Thanks Andi / Alex, 3 1/4" oal, 2 5/8" blade. There's just something about a swayback that works for me, feels like my hand has a claw attached.

Ernie....for the good of this knife community, you have to get over this self consciousness of yours! Don't worry about those silly co-workers of yours! Take the picture!

This has quickly become one of my all time favorites. Apologies for the crappy cell phone pic at my desk....

Very nice knife love the old micarta! John is truly a wonderful person.
Folks like Duane and Duncan make the forum great, but without fine makers like John, we wouldn't have met. I didn't need another knife, but with John donating the proceeds to tornado victims in Oklahoma, I had to pick up this nice micarta swayback in 52100. John and I have similiar roots, both lived in my hometown of El Reno, both have railroad heritage, and I proudly carry one of his knives almost everyday (stag mini Lanny's). Many people around OKC are still struggling from the aftermath, a friend whose home was two blocks from complete devastation didn't have power, natural gas, or was allowed to stay in his house after dark for several days. Thanks John for your generosity and thanks to all who bought knives during John's OK sale. Thanks for the scraps too.
