Oh my.........................Oh my Lord!!!!

Grails, beauties, masterpieces and some of the most magnificent knives I have EVER seen!!!

^^^ I quite agree!

Here are a few more.

4. Sam Lurquin Maximus Bowie

An unconventional contemporary take but all the elements are there for a truly badass blade that is far more sidearm than camp tool.

1) Harvey Dean AKI Dog Bone Bowie
Harvey Dean Dog Bone Bowie by Bob, on Flickr

This bowie has a feather patterned damascus blade made from 15N20 and 1075. The fittings are a twist patterned damascus and feature 24-karat gold inlay. The handle is ancient walrus ivory and is secured by 14-karat domed gold studs. The knife was accompanied by a leather scabbard with German silver throat and tip. All completed by Harvey.

My best(and personal) blade for this year. Carried while hunting, fishing and guiding here in the back country of central BC. This knife cleared trail, dressed, skinned and processed 3 moose, 3 bears, one deer and a mountain goat. Plus prepared several nice rainbow trout for the fry pan, along with other various cutting tasks for the last 8 months or so. She's been a fine companion:)

Damascus handforged "the hard way" with hand and sledge hammers. Sole authorship.

#1 2015 companion bowie, in it's natural habitat.

A few more angles.

First I wanted to wish happy holidays to all!
Undoubtedly this thread most expected of the year.
Thanks Roger for taking the time to carry out this very entertaining festival every year.
Thank you very much Alex and Dave for their nominations.

I leave my nominations for these two great pieces of my good friends Bruce Bump and Kevin Casey

Great submissions gents. I knew there were some spectacular Bump knives waiting to be added - wouldn't be Best Bowie without them!

Dave, you should see an "edit post" tab at the bottom of your initial post. Just click on it, then delete everything and substitute "edited" instead. Much better look at those terrific CAS knives - thank you sir!

Hello!

Wonderful pieces so far everyone! Dave, really glad that the CAS pieces get their own big display now!

Here is another one of mine - I really like the straight forward all-business approach here (and the excellent craftsmanship):

1) Bobby Wetten, JS - Southwest Bowie (JS-test piece):

Roger, when will the entering period be closed?

Best,
