John White MS Memorial BEST BOWIE 2015 - FINALISTS SELECTED!

I'm suddenly totally slammed with a surprise trail assessment job over the next few days/months, so if anyone can help Roger out with tallying the votes, you'll be a hero!
Really enjoying this thread this year! Really great submissions so far :)

wouldn't usually do this but there are not many pictures of this around so going to post it myself.
ICCE Best bowie, 416/52100 walrus and wrought iron.

Glad you posted that one Bill.

Big Rick, could you please edit out the images from your quote? It confuses the voting mightily if the same knives appear in subsequent posts.

HEADS UP TO ALL - GET ANY LAST ENTRIES IN! I'll likely close entries and move to the voting for finalists stage later today.

Thanks Rick!

This year is just as hard as most other years. Incredible work is being done by so many people. For me it's not about the fanciest or most complex. It's about line, proportion, appointments or lack thereof and just plain emotional reaction. I don't care who wins. I'm sure they will be deserving. Here are some I liked this year:

1. Ben Breda

2. Tad Lynch

3. Will Morrison

4. Marc Aldrich ( Because if I don't nominate it, who will? :) )

^^^^ My good man, most of those have already been nominated. Please read through and eliminate the duplicates. Posting a knife twice only increases the chances that votes will be miscounted and thus decreases the chances of it making the finals.

Thanks.

Hello!

Fantastic images!

Another two of mine by my friend Milan Mozolic:

1) Take-down Bowie in stag and damascus:

Wow! An amazing array of mind boggling High Art! Thanks once again Roger for instigating this stellar event.

Here's one that just screams bowie in its truest sense. Got to handle this one...a powerful beast from Jerry Fisk.

Thanks i4Marc!

Guys, I know there are a couple last-minute pieces in the works. And as it happens, I am tied up with some personal stuff today and tomorrow. I'm going to leave it open until the end of the day tomorrow, so don't sit on those final submissions. If you have buddies that are into bowies but are still sleeping of the Christmas festivities, wake 'em up and get 'em to post their entries!

As it stands I already can't figure out which knives I'm voting for - please make my job even harder!

I'll be checking in and will be reachable by PM. And I have a couple more nominations of my own.

Peace.

Roger

Since this contest is named in honor of John White, I would love to see more dog bones.

Here is an interesting variation from earlier this year:

1. Claudio Sobral

My apologies Roger. I thought we were voting. I forgot this was just the nomination round.

Found one more of mine from this year:

#1: John Doyle 1075, Damascus, Bronze and Ironwood.
