holy Gezzus it might workThe only way it will work is to be co-mingled. There is no intention to promote one organization over the other.![]()
Does anyone know of other hotels in the area? Not sure if we will go but it would be nice to know what alternatives there are if a last minute decision to attend is made. TIA
It would be nice to be able to organize a good group of makers a dinner in one of these BBQ, with food on the table will make the best knowledge.

Oklahoma Joe's (now just Joe's) is a smaller restaurant, with a constant line at prime times. It needs to be on everyone's list while in K.C., because their food is outstanding. But, Jack Stack's would be a better place for a large group to meet. Larger space, I would think they take reservations. And, their BBQ is excellent, also.
Kansas City just seems like an ideal location for this new venture. I hope it all works out in the long run!

Hey, Joe.
Thanks for the info.
Maybe a couple of us can organize a larger dinner Friday or Saturday night if enough folks express interest - kind of like was done in Little Rock in the past.
I think collectors are going to show up with money to spend. So I think it will be a "long run" success if the makers - especially the more well known makers - support it by attending and actually bringing knives that folks can see, handle, and maybe even purchase. It will not take many times for collectors to go to all the time and expense to travel to a show like this and find that many of their favorite makers have nothing to sell, or even see and handle, before those collectors will say the hell with it, and that will be that.
But right now, I am sure as hell looking forward to it!

Seems from all the early excitement and knife maker commitment, this has the potential to be a great show.
There's no shuttle from the airport to the Marriott. I wonder how much a cab cost? I,m not into walking very far so I might rent a car.

That's an understatement!Cooperation after years of disagrement. A world class US show w/o the commercialization of Blade mags' hyenas or elite emprassarios...how can it not be great!?
