I have had a deal going right now with a person that has this same e-mail
address over on Microholics. Luckily I haven't sent the knife & I have asked for his address several times including yesterday. As some of you will
remember I am one of the first ones jtstrider screwd with. I am going to
notify Mike Swan now & he can deal with it over there.

We were able to get a knife back last year after talking with his mom who was very torn up over his actions.

If he is a friend of yours he is already at least 1/2 way to being my friend too.

Actually I will do anything I can for anyone to track this P.O.S. down and do what I can legally to make sure he does not continue these types of actions.

I know from the last time, I am going to need more details than I have now to get anywhere with the police or his family. Once I get to the police they will want to deal with the party who has the complaint.

I am being told that the knives were mailed to Turnkey and he was emailed a scan of the receipt as was a mod on another forum. Let's give this a chance to settle through the mail for now.

Settle down folks. I don't want to see any more threats here that is silly. If something is up it should be handled legally and right now I am not sure which direction that needs to go. Right now I am sure I am being told the truth by his mom. She is a straight forward and honest person and I trust her.

So far no one has sent me details so I am sticking to my trust.
 
The knives were delivered one day late.

I think this has been overblown.
 
Were the knives what he promised? In the past when he sent anything at all he sent junk.

Even if that transaction wasn't dishonest he would have to make good on past transactions that were before we could consider reinstating him.
 
Actually the knives did get there today but they were nothing like what was promised. They had alot of problems and dings. I'm sure Turnkey will post here.
I believe he has decided the safest thing is to let the Strider guys make the knives right rather than risk trading back with this guy.
There is not doubt in my mind that the only reason any knives were sent was because of these threads on 3 different forums.

The knives were 1 day late this time, but the original date was missed by quite a bit.
 
Here's the latest sit-rep. I posted this on another forum in which Mr. Towns posts on, so I directed some comments toward him, somehow managing to keep it civil:
Note: These knives are NOT one day overdue; they're a week overdue, and when I found out about Towns' deceitful business practices, I understandably freaked....

I called the number Specwar22 gave me today while at work. It was a fax number, and I sat there, listening to the machine scream into my ear. NO scans of receipts were EVER mailed to me by this jack-off.

I actually received two knives today from Specwar22 (Towns). One is a SnG Tanto that's had the tanto tip reground, and not very well. Someone bastardized this thing. The lockbar is slipping so far it's pitiful. I'm not sure what went on with this poor knife, but it's a travesty, to say the least.

The other knife, an SMF Recurve, also has lockbar slippage that's horrible! The blade is in real nice shape, but it appears that someone took this thing apart and did whatever to it.

Both knives will have to head directly to the Strider Spa, where they'll hopefully be refurbished like new.

Mr. Towns, in my original trade offer, I said the knives could be users, ie. scratched/dinged up, etc., but that the actions/lockup had to be perfect. These actions/lockup are f***ing horrible. ANd I sent you a MINT MSC TAnto GB!

Dude, I'll chalk this one up to a learning experience. I have two knives that I'm sure Mick/Duane will bring back from the dead.

I was wrong, in that I alleged that you weren't sending the knives. You did, in fact, send the knives. Late. And after about twenty people told me it would never happen. That's why I freaked out. And for that, I was wrong.

However, this is, by far, the shittiest knife deal I've EVER been involved with. I got two knives that have to go straight back to Mick/Duane (causing me to have to expend yet MORE time/money/energy), and that's NOT what I traded my mint MSC for. But there's no way in the world I'm going to deal with you for even ONE more micro-second, so we'll call this deal closed.

I want to thank the overwhelming response that I got here from everyone. You guys rock so much, words don't even do it justice.

Not at all, sir. The information you have, above, is not accurate (not calling you a liar, by any stretch...just trying to right some of the info). Please see my post here for the full story.

I would NOT advise anyone here to deal with Mr. Towns. You will be in for a very frustrating experience, to say the least.

I want my MSC Nightmare Tanto returned to me, in it's original, Mint condition. Upon receipt of it, I will return the two beat-up knives you sent me.

You will overnight my knife back to me, so I should be receiving it by THURSDAY! You will mail it tomorrow, which is WEDNESDAY.
You have your orders...now carry them out.

Holy shit! My appologies for trying to defend Dama24/Towns/specwar or whatever he goes by today. If I would have read this thread yesterday I would be driving to Atlanta to help you out bro!

Nobody needs to deal with a prententious little prick like this guy.

He seemded OK over on CK&G becasue he actually posted a link to a knife I was looking for. I guess I was suckered in a way as well.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Oh, here is another avenue for you to persue: Mail Fraud! Its a felony!!!!

This is not a case where the USPS Postal Inspectors will be able to do anything. Turnkey got the knives, so there was no mail fraud.

I sure hope this guy runs out of forums where he isn't known, so that he won't be able to screw people over any more.
 
I am getting a lot of feedback on his deals.
Seems like he leaves a wake of dishonesty with just about every one of them if not all.
