July 14, 2022 botm 119 full flat grind

I'm hoping for something very different and very classy.

For example: picture this...

Buck 120 General
Satin D2 Steel Chipflint Blade
Stag Handle
Brass Guard/Pommel
Distressed Brown Leather Sheath

A more low-key, yet classy knife which harkens back on the old frontier days with a big old Bowie knife. I thought about making it a 5160 Carbon Steel Blade, but I'd rather something more corrosion resistant than can still take a patina, so D2 seems best.
It's patriot without being gaudy or in-your-face about it with all sorts of Red White and Blue Cerakote.

Oh, man! Just went to the website and it flashed up for a second, now it's gone. It had a cherry handle...

Oh, I see now. They changed the BOTM on the main menu but when you click on it, July isn't added yet. Must be coming soon.

Edit:
The one on the menu looks like a flat ground 117. I hope that's what drops!

Tempting. I have spent way too much money lately, on knives and other things, so I am going to try to pass. I don't always have the strongest will power when it comes to these things though...

The price is in line with Buck's pricing of the Pro line.

The regular production 119 Pro is $205

Green canvas micarta (BOTM red micarta).

Fuller and not full flat grind (BOTM no fuller and full flat grind)

Imported sheath (BOTM USA made sheath)
It's not the price. I can piss away $200 on the Come without regret.

It's regurgitating a pattern that's not really that "Special" in the first place.

Where are the slip joints? Where are the other oft-forgotten patterns? Where's their love?
