Sheesh, 10 days would drive me crazy. We get what we want as soon as we fill out the form and they make the call to get it approved. If you have a ccw permit here, you just fill out the form and they take a copy of your permit and you are on your merry way.

While we are on guns......I ordered 8 days ago and am still waiting for Buds to ship. :grumpy: My echeck apparently finally cleared yesterday, so I figured my guns would ship today, but no luck so far. I'm getting antsy and I want my new precious's.

Yes, I might just need that straight jacket. At least when they do get here I can pick them up that same day and not wait another 10 days. They still haven't shipped either. You would think that they would ship shortly after payment goes through, but I guess not. My patience is seriously being tested. I might just have to make a trip to the range to calm myself down. Beer might be a good option tonight too.......and tomorrow night.

Whats everyone doing tonight? I'm planning on attempting to make beer cheese soup again. I've tried a bunch of times before, but never found one that I've liked very much. I've got a big block of sharp cheddar and a new recipe to try out. Hopefully it turns out good.

I'm takin the misses on a date tonight, dinner and bowling just to do something fun besides a movie where we sit in the dark and don't talk. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky

Not sure about the beer. From what I've read it is best to stay away from dark beers and thats most of what is in my fridge. Theres a Big Sky IPA and some Big Sky Scape Goat too, but they aren't really a favorite of mine, so I'm not sure if I want it in my soup. The beer I actually like is at my friends place. I have some Rolling Rock and Flat Tire there.........might have to go raid his basement fridge.

Its looking like its going to be around two weeks before I get them. I can't drink every night cuz I do have to work, so not sure what I'm gonna do.......:grumpy:

Man, waiting sucks. I'm going on 2 months waiting for the Springfield XDs at this point. Probably going to have to wait until Gander Mountain and Cabelas get all their orders filled before my guy can get one in. I'm thinking about grabbing a Heritage 22lr/22mag revolver just to fill the itch for a while.

What shotgun is the Qeth? I'm not a big shotgun guy and probably haven't even shot the one I do have for 5 years. I just give it a good wipe down a few times a year and put it back in the safe. I should really get out and do some duck hunting again.

It's a Remington 870 Tactical, which is basically what they're calling the new 870 Express shotguns with 18.5" barrels and one piece 6+1 magazine tube (vs the older 4+1 and optional magazine extension).

Thats what I was thinking it was. I have an 870 Wingmaster. I've had it since I was 18, so 13 years. I used to shoot the heck out of it all fall chasing ducks and geese.

It's the XDs that came out this spring, a subcompact .45. To me it's infinitely better than carrying a .380 to get something in that size.

without a doubt.... but then again my Ruger LCP weighs in under 10oz iirc... like carrying a stout knife

Soup is about done, but its missing something. It has beer, sharp cheddar, chicken broth, carrots, celery, garlic, onions, butter, half/half, salt, pepper, and a bit of tobasco. It tastes good, but just seems like it should have somethiing else in it. Oh and I ended up using a bud light in it. Maybe thats the problem....?

The bud light might be the problem, seems like it should have a beer in there that lends some malt flavor. Bud light is like seltzer water with a splash of beer flavoring and alcohol. Maybe CB will chime in, if I remember correctly he makes beer cheese soup.

Worcestershire is missing. At least that's what I would put in mine.
