Just a Walk in the Snark

Oh, it does. And I'll probably remove the thing anyways, because I usually hate pocket clips. Takes a very well designed pocket clip and well-thought out placement to make me like a pocket clip. But still, I don't like knives that open themselves up in my pocket, and then gouge my fingers on jimping when I try to open them. At least, not enough to make me displace my beloved Gunny.

yeah, I've been bitten by the tip-up problem before and won't do that ever again. I'd be surprised if it's not reversible.

Almost threw this guy in the fire. Lucky mantis.

On the upside, the easy opening means I can turn it blade down, and open it with a quick downward snap. Now, to figure out which set of tools I need to get the clip off...

I've been peeking in over at the Busse corner of BF lately and my eyes have slowly been warming up to some of their designs (ok I'll be honest I just want the knife from the walking dead!). The only thing I can't get used to is the names. Just out of curiosity what is the name of the knife your getting chameleonbear?
Boot Dagger... LOL! I don't know what the name of it is. I just know it's a boot dagger that is a REALLY good deal, and I figured it's a good way to break into the scene without breaking the bank. I've got a scrapmax already so I'll have my bussekin set.

Either a pliers, or the proper way probably includes a T6/T8 torque set. If I remember right ZT uses a T6. Might have been a T5.

Did anyone else see that live feed of that guy killing himself after a car chase on fox?

Yea it totally caught me off guard.

T6.
I bent the hell out of mine the day I got it. Took it off, and it is much more comfortable now.

I was talking to a user on another forum about knives because that forum is knife retarded and he was the only one showing knife knowledge. He then proceeded to say this about his 9 dollar knife: "Also, this thing is really good for throwing. My KA-BAR is made of a type of steel that doesn't bend; it just breaks."

I'm just... I'm just raging so hard.

In my experience there is a slight bit of truth to what he speaks. I was tossing my beloved KaBar classic at a door while I was bored just before coming home from war, and damned if the knife didn't bounce off and hit the floor with a sickening ring. I walked over and saw the two pieces and cried. Snapped right at the pommel. Only knife I ever broke.
Wished I'd known at the time that it was warrantied. I would have sent it in instead of throwing the pieces away.

Of course, we're talking forty-one years ago...

A modest proposal:

straighten the clip on the BK-17 by drawing a line from the tip, through the lowest dip of the clip, and out to the spine.
What say you?

(practicing my dub-stepz: )

I would like that 7-ish 17 better if the grind on the swedge matched the angle of the clip, meaning fix that curved grind. If that makes any sense....
