Just curious...who edc's more than one 3" plus bladed knife...

That makes total sense BTW. Sweet fallkniven! What is the steel on that one?

It's laminated VG-10, wich means 420j2 in the outer layers and the VG-10 in the coresteel.
This gives both toughness and edgeholding, as the RC hardness is 55 in the shell and RC 59 in the core.

I always carry Leatherman Charge TTI and BM 940 folder. While the multitool could be used as a knife, it is slower to take out and not as usable as a knife when compared to snappy folder like 940. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I take my Fällkniven Frei or Odin with me ... just for pleasure .

So every now and then I read a daily load out and in their edc, they will have a fixed blade in their bag...a pm2 in their front pocket and a tenacious in their back pocket...

So just curious what do you for a living or tell us why you need to have three knives on your person....

I work as an ordained minister. And right now I carry a spyderco dragonfly in my pocket, a griptilian in my winter parkas, a PM2 in my briefcase and I have a BK9 in the car. It's not for self defense, I just have a passion for knives. I love to use em, and they will not get any use if they lay around in a drawer.

lagre sebenza in my right, southard in my left and my victirinox huntsman in my pocket. Its nice to have different blade shapes for different tasks. I carry more than one because I have more than one pocket to fill and cant make up my mind

Can you share a typical day in the life? Has there been a day you used all three and what situations? Persoy I would consider the sebenza and southard as two very stout knives that could serve as a do it all!

I always carried two knives, one small slipjoint, and one large folder. Rarely used anything but the slipjoint in my day to day activities. But as a knifeknut I loved to carry my big heavy duty folder's, like many here. I had a spinal cord stroke that left me unable to walk without a walker, and also left me permanently disabled. So now I still carry my small folder, a SAK, and whichever large folder I'm carrying that day in my right front pocket, just as before. But now I carry meds that I need more than once a day, my wallet, spare lighter's, a list of meds I'm on and condition's I have, my SAK, and another large folder, all in my fanny pack. So since work no longer matter's, I just go ahead and add in another large folder because there was room in the pack for it. Gives me a second knife to play with and to show off!:)

Oh yeah, the knives; Today I had a smaller (but stout, very stout) knife in my right front pocket, a Boker Arctos XL. A Victorinox Fieldmaster in my pack, along with a Spyderco Szabo in the same pack.

I like redundancy with my outdoor tools when leaving town, and or romping in an isolated spot. I just like to have a back up in case of loss or breakage.

I think the Tenacious, PM2, and the fixed blade Boker is my rough EDC carry. Let me explain. The PM2 is for self-use EDC. The Tenacious is for others to use, I wouldn't even feel bad if they lost or broke it. The Boker fixed is 2.5 inch blade, not very big at all. It's for more hard-use prying tasks when I don't want to use my PM2. Wouldn't it make you flinch a bit if you had to use your PM2 to pry open a paint can? I'm sure almost all of here in BladeForums carry >2 knives out anyway. Did I mention there's a Dragonfly too on my keys?

they most definatly do but I rebuld old homes for a living, doing everything from electrical to carpet to cardboard. I never know and its nice to be prepard, the huntsman I use themost just because of the drivers and scissors etc. ALWAYS reaching for one of the

On top of that and most of all I cannot make up my mind what to carry over the other

I generally carry 2 knives, my Opinel is MY personal knife; that's my eatin' knife, making sandwiches and whatnot.

The other is for work. If I wouldn't put my mouth on it, the Opinel doesn't touch it, mostly. Some days its my only knife

I usually carry 2.
1 for general use and 1 in a vest pocket along with a folded piece of A4, just to show people what a sharp knife is like - I sharpen knives on my WE for a small fee.

I am a concealed carry instructor and I 24/7 carry more than just a pocket knife

I am in data sales and I always carry two knives at work, usually two large micarta Sebenzas (lefty regular and right-handed Insingo) or a ZT 560 and a 566.

Or a PM2 and a waved Matriarch, or my Ulize in the left and my Civilian in my right.

Why? Because I like knives, I like both looking at them and using them whenever needed. The only ones I usually don't pull out are the Civilian and waved Matriarch2, because I work in an office and they are intimidating to people.

But if someone ever posed a threat, like you see in the news or when I'm going to my car, probably never happen, but if it did, at least I have a chance with one of those.

There was a crazy guy a couple of years ago who cut a bunch of people outside the office I work in one day, in downtown Columbus, and I had walked in 5 minutes earlier.

If I had happened to be outside when he was, I guarantee there would have been a knife in each of my hands in a matter of a few seconds and although I know I'd be really worried about getting cut, I'd also be slashing at his ass, too. There is no way I could walk away and let him keep cutting other defenseless people. And the Civilian would be pretty handy in that situation.

I sure hope that never happens but people do things nowadays that they never used to do when I was growing up. Never know, although it's kinda sad.

Well, I Live in Alaska. And I might be a bit paranoid. I dunno, lol. But on a regular basis I carry a traditional folder (sodbuster, G.E.C., or a Svord mini) in my left pocket for all those utility cutting tasks, a tactical folder in my right (Emerson or an automatic)for self defense and about a 5 inch survival type fixed blade on my left (A Thin stock SAR Global tool S/E model or a Survive! knives GSO 5.1) for survival and self defense. you're probably thinking "Survival?" yes, here in Alaska you can take 20 minutes to drive out of the city and be out in the wilderness. People commute between towns and end up getting stranded and dying from exposure, I also sometimes choose to leave town on a whim and go for a drive or just go out to camp for the night. I Also carry a full size Sig P220 on my right and an extra mag. This is a lot for EDC, but it's my system I've had for years, and It's just what I carry. There isn't a high violent crime rate here in Anchorage, but, things happen, and when they do, they're pretty bad. I don't think I will ever need my fixed blade, or my gun (I don't think I will ever need my body armor in my lifetime either.) but, every time I leave the house, there's always that phrase "What If?" lingering in the back of my head along with "One is none, and two is one." and I keep a hatchet and a Khukuri in my truck. along with cold weather gear and a sizeable First Aid Kit. I work for an Airline I will not name here, but they do not allow knives of any kind.wich Is total B.S. because it would make my job a lot easier, and of course they won't let us carry our guns in. (Hey, thanks for making me a fish in a barrel.)

Curious if it was profession oriented... Said this three times but no one reads. ..

LOL "profession oriented" guy you started this thread almost maliciously looking down upon those of us who carry more than one knife...think you need to start reading your own punctuation like the '...' At the end of your original post...of course people are gunna tell you off...start better threads bud.

Cool your jets your reading into something that only exists in your own head. I carry a knife and a multi tool myself and have a knife at work. Read the other posts.
