I feel for you, this thread has been an eye opener, I feel drained after reading all this drama. I am going to sail off to the Undying Lands like Frodo did in LOR to have some peace of mind and recover from his experiences. Like what Marcus Aurelius said, heading back to pics of knives, mostly the fiixed and folder thread, and traditionals.
 
Anyone trying to defend the employees is just as laughable to me as defending Mike or Jim. They are all complicit in the deception. They all knew and no one said or did anything to stop it. All for a paycheck. Look I get times are tough and all but you dont get to sit there and be an active member of said deception and act like you did nothing wrong. They all have questionable morals and should seriously consider if a paycheck is worth them defrauding others out theirs.
 
Even without all the Chinese knkfe blank drama, poor QC, poor customer service.

Knives ship free has listed on their site over 156 models they’ve produced. That’s not sustainable. Given some have been discontinued and all what not but that’s still a lot of models to have to produce for any company.

19 U.S.C. § 1304 (Country of Origin Misrepresentation): If an employee is aware that origin markings on a product are false, knowingly distributing them makes the employee liable to the same extent as the employer.


And I'm sure I could find more for ya!!
At the end of the day they are just as liable as he is. Hell the social media girl just openly admitted they knew.

Fair enough. That certainly puts you in an area/position to have credible knowledge of the situation. I was mostly curious. Again, I have no reason to doubt what you're saying. Sorry that your wife had to go through that.

Were you the young man right next to me doing your first show? I remember that show well. I was just thinking of that the other day. I hope you're doing well. Still making knives? Feel free to DM me if you ever want to.

You raise an interesting thought. [at one time] knives from BR were in fact real bark river knives, until Mike started counterfeiting his own...knives?..
 
The fact that DLT is still selling BRK’s at full price or at all really rubs me the wrong way. They’re too invested in the Mikey Stewart business, essentially business partners. I could be far off base but to me, the right thing to do would be to pull them all until you can verify the material is as described. They made their own bed by getting into business with him. Mikes word is trash and he admits to lying and deceiving people yet they act as if that’s the only lie he told.

I checked the prices a couple hours ago and I saw that as well. In one breath I want to say theyre attempting to recoup their losses, in another breath I still think deep down inside they did know and chose to ignore it. Like they said they had 3 batches they wanted nsm to authenticate, but as you say, are still selling question mark models at full price.
Simply because the allegations and reports are all over the place, they'd have to go out of their way to avoid reading any of it but even then, someone had to have said something, whether at work or at a blade show or something.
