No hate involved, just dissapointment.
Like most of the members here, we have favourite manufactures, where we were always looking forward for what is coming up next. If we wouldn't, we'd have a single knife that would do for the rest of our lives or at least until it breaks or gets lost. And we wouldn't be on the forum.
I wont, and neither will alot of people they will buy the better versions which were produced first and look pretty much identical. Stealing designs isn't cool man, I don't see how you can justify it. The similarities are unbelievablewhy all the hate guys? really, what do you want? they have a blade and a handle. if you don't like it, don't buy it.

I still like SOG. I got a benchmade Pika that I think was almost identical to a Spyderco in look, function and quality. I dont see anything wrong with taking a feature or concept and improving or modifying it. Look at automobiles, appliances, electronics, etc they all borrow from each other. Just my .02.

By the way, knifedraw, Chris does not hide. He's always willing to discuss issues. A little courtesy in return would be nice. AND THIS IS A LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND! DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO INTERRUPT A FEW DAYS OFF TO LISTEN TO YOUR WHINING?
I don't think the lockback SOG Fielder bears enough resemblance or any design similarities to the liner lock Bob Lum Folding Stalker to considered a copy cat knock off.
There are just too many differences. They are not the same.
This is true, we shou;dn't get angry at chris. So...That's true. I also believe that Chris@SOG can't comment much. After all, what can he say when such a design and production has been endorsed and put into production from someone much higher up the SOG hierarchy?

I think we should all wait for Spyderco and Benchmade to give their input/press releases.
Hopefully SOG has a good legal team.![]()
