Was it overkill to buy a router with table just to cut perfect slots for the kurigata?
You're goddamn right!!
I'm very pleased with these. Each one is a smooth snug fit to the K20 and can be shaken upside down without flying off.
The last photo shows it with the K20 inserted and shows the pretty good flow from the handle. It's a balance of matching the handle without getting too thin. The G10 hardware provides added strength at the throat.
These are in the mail to Yoko now so hopefully we'll see some deluxe paint jobs in due time...

These look pretty darn fine, Richard, and with Yoko’s finish work, I think that the sword smiths in Japan will be placing orders. One of my earliest memories, in life, was when my dad took me to my great aunt’s place, for a visit. Right in the entryway, were twin wakizashi, on a traditional stand. Man, I wish I knew what happened to them. The reason that I bring this up is because the saya were not too far from the color that Yoko is showing. Mike

I have a good list of colors , mine might be the most difficult

I'm going to mix up a transparent mid coat that's blue with blue pearl

It will be a similar concept to the handles SwarthyGnome made but blue

The sayas are amazing. I’m very happy with the kydex for my terotuf handled K20 - all very functional. But if I’d known someone was going to make sayas like this, I’d have been tempted to get a wood-handled K20 and make it a display piece.

Mine are grey TT lighting is not very bright near my table lol
