I bought one when they first came out. Not a bad little knife but I gave it to a friend so she'd stop asking to borrow mine all the time. Of course she never carries the dang thing...
 
Got strep throat.

Been ordering fish antibiotics.

All I can say is that I took a look at a bottle of Aquatic Doxycycline USP and it was exactly the same pill inside the bottle that I used to receive from the pharmacy under prescription.

Only when i had insurance, they didn't want $100 for it. Now I wish I would've saved more than what I had...

Picked up a Johnson Piggyback on Sunday. It looks like a great little blade. It's part of my Xmas, so I won't be able to test it out until then. I'd like to hear from other Piggybackers (LOL) on how they use it or carry it.

I had the same strange anomaly happen with my wife. I bought her a BK11 and although she likes it, she prefers her 10 dollar Kershaw folder more. It's maddening sometimes.
 
Postal lady didn't come today.

I was to get my antibiotics today...

She doesn't come when the weather is unpleasant, cold days are not holidays....


Now I took my last pill and I'm looking at 3 days without antibiotics as there's no mail tomorrow.

You can just stop and start like that..

On a side, it's 25°F tonight but I can't properly enjoy it cause I'm sick.. I love the weather when it's in the 20s, that doesn't Ever really happen here

Don't know how well it works for strep as I have fortunately never had it, but when anyone in my family gets a sore throat, we make a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and warm water (we only mix up a glass at a time) and gargle with it. Use an 8 oz glass, mix 50/50, take a swig, tilt back and gargle til you run out of air,spit out and repeat until entire glass is gargled and gone. Repeat a glass worth every 2 -3 hours, This home remedy has been in the family 4 generations and still seems to work. Most I've ever gone with the throat hurting is 2 days, usually a lot less time.

Another home remedy that seems to work is to mix Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar and local honey 50/50 and take 2 oz 3x / day. seems to reduce allergies and colds. we've been doing that for years, as well.

The next-best thing is sleep. I just got over a sinus infection and a couple times I thought I was over it and would stay up and try to get caught up on things and it would come back. There for a few days all I did was sleep, waking up just long enough to drink some water and pee and maybe eat something and call in sick to work.
 
Cool tips guys, never heard of the vinegar before; amoxicillin should come in tomorrow.

I'm sure not getting enough sleep
 
Was browsing around along and came across a couple discontinued ka-bars I never knew existed.

1224 plain edge next gen. I think it's made from 440.

I'm not sure if it's technically deal spotting if they're not available anymore but I came across a couple of them while browsing all the of products listed under Ka-Bar on a popular internet retail website.

If you have enough free time just try googling Ka-Bar with a model number behind it. I did all of the 1200's and didn't see anything else I wasn't already aware of, but some of you may not have seen the Camp Knife or the impact series.

Huh. Interesting. One of the main sources of knives for me had that KBD-1 a long time ago. I didn't pick it up at the time because I already had a 1217, but now I wish I did. I like that broad bayonet style blade. Sharpen that long clip on that bad boy just for kicks.
 
Ha! If you Google image Kabar 1247 Warthog, the 1st action shot of one doing work is my blade! :)

Its shaving some wood for a survival type self bow, just triming fungus off but at least its the only pic of one that actually looks used

Yeah, I'm on the fence. I would probably buy it just because it's a Ka-bar with the F/U handle, but I'm not gonna cry any tears over it being gone. I do wish I had been able to grab a Camp Knife when I had the chance. At least I got me a 1247 Warthog. Love that one.
 
I'm really interested in the new "Game Changer" by JAB.

Other than the name being totally ghey, I'd still like to have one. :rolleyes:
