The OKC version of the fighting/utility knife has the same 1/32" radius at the blade/tang junction as well -- because that was the military specification for that knife when the original designs were drawn up.
Changing that would require changes to tooling and the knife would no longer meet the military specification for construction.

OTOH, the 1219 dog's head knife is a 1095 version - same oval pommel, leather handles, no serrations, abbreviated top guard.

I do not have the dog's head yet my next Ka Bar will be the big brother with leather handle.
