Kabars Space Force Knife

Why titanium? Titanium can produce a bigger spark than steel. Copper or bronze would be more appropriate, and those are what is generally used in earthbound environments that may contain explosive gasses or oxidizers.

You are correct. I confused non-sparking blades with non-magnetic titanium blades.

Clearly I won't be getting a job with the Space Force.:D

Have Kabars always been off center or is this just the first time I've noticed??

It's done on purpose. It allows a knife with a clip point to have the point of the knife closer to the centerline for better stabability. It was intended to be a Fighting/Utility knife after all.

Or so I heard.

Good looking knives and tools, I'm buying!

Not a cadet, but I did transfer over to Space Force in September. It would seem they are going with calling us "Guardians". I guess it could be worse :p

I did pick up one of the folding knives from Kabar because it was listed as being US made on BladeHQ but I am finding other sites are saying it is made in Taiwan. We will see when it arrives.View attachment 1477431

If you are a member of the Space Force, then you know how serious this is. Why don't you join us on the Spyderco Forum where we are discussing this and invite some of the others who serve with you to join the conversation? https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=88364
