Karda... banned?!

Athough LadyEarth appears to be trying to be even-handed in her comment, with Side A and Side B, it really isn't right to make negative comments about someone who has no way to respond, and especially by referring to vague "transgressions" that are difficult or impossible to verify and probably judgment calls in any case. Personally I think that the HI subforum is worse off for Karda's absence, and that is also a judgment call.

Best thing is to give it a rest. If Karda is ever reinstated people can criticize him here to their hearts content, hopefully on specific matters rather than he rubs some people the wrong way. I suspect that he rubbed the wrong people the wrong way, namely those who have the power to ban someone. Maybe he should have known better on that score.

It's only a "negative comment" in the eyes of the beholder. To me, this event is a very positive event; there is more breathing room now. That being said, I'm ready to give it a rest because I'm also more than happy to become more involved in HI forums moving forward.

Like I said, there are two sides to every coin. Most every one expressed their one side regarding Karda and I merely expressed the other less popular side of the same coin. Take it as you will but I'm going to see it as positive overall.

I like a good catfish supper with fried potato's.

Apparently everybody but the people that make that happen support me.

Dozens of email request from myself and others and not one single response.

Could be the forum is run by androids or something, can't say for sure.

We're fine. We got good folks and we got Mr. Wallace and Mr Steely to take care of business if any business needs taking care of.

I don't have much interest in the rest of the forums, I glance now and then but I'm still pretty overwhelmed with HI.

Might want to make a post in the service & support forum, Spark checks it pretty often.

I've asked a time or two. Lemme make a quick post to the back end. Spark seems to be more active as of late, so I'll see if I can draw some attention.

I sent 2 more messages a PM and an Email yesterday. The second one I just requested proof of life.
Haven't heard a word.

I'm fine, we're all good. We don't need no stinking badges.

That works fine for me. Operative being the operative word. Just don't want to get labeled a rat ya know.

I wanna be on the side of rightness and goodnessess.

Course 97.8 % of the members are too so we're probably ok, long as I'm not a rat ya know? I hate rats.

Actually I kind of like rats, they are fun to shoot and I don't stay awake at night thinking I did a bad thing.

Killing rats; We're simply trying to spare the human race from suffering through another bout of The Black Plague.:D

Oh come on, the Plague was spread by the ticks that were on the rats, not by rats. Rats don't bite people nearly as often as ticks, cut the little guys some slack!

PS Bawanna, if you can catch any rats live, I know of a few snakes that would happily dispose of them :)

The subtle morbidity in here is so heartwarming! It makes me feel all cuddling and charmed!

Steely posted about this a few days ago. I edited Spark's name into the title.
Depending on where you emailed, no, there's no one there.

Rats

I love the struggling rat.
Now what do you think of that?

He never tries to reach the skies,
He never sighs or alibis;
He always honors family ties --
He's better than a lot of guys
Who sneer, and then avert their eyes

As servants put out poisoned bait,
So much the working rat they hate.

I was born in the year of the rat. I'm going to have to watch myself around here.

Finally, a little understanding.

I always aim for the tick, but the poor rat gets in the way.

Your last comment reminds me of the time I was putting a rat in the snake cage. The snake was aiming for the rat, but got my finger. Kaa let go immediately (I must taste bad to a snake) but there were two half-crescents of blood spots, and it felt like being stabbed by twenty needles. Not something that one forgets.

Ooh ya, got plenty of those little bloody crescents in my life. Some feisty snakes, some excited snakes still in feeding mode, and just some nervous nips here and there. Really not much worse than getting sway by a cat when it comes down to it, just surprising. Unless it's a tree snake. Then there will be blood.

Snakes are incredibly sensitive in the mouth. They can absolutely tell within a fraction of a second whether or not it's food their biting. Just remember, "if it's fur, it's food." Read a story bout a guy who went to sleep with rabbit fur slippers on and had a Reticulated Python on free roam of the house (like an idiot). Long story short, the python found a nice warm, furry rabbit, and the guy woke up with his leg in a snake up to his thigh. They had to call the fire department to help get it off. Both snake and human were ok in the end, but he definitely had more than just a little crescent bite! The lesson from this story? Don't be an idiot :)

WOW! I though I was a heavy sleeper!
