Keith Johnson Knives

The WT Keith made for me arrived this afternoon. This is my Johnson 2012 knife. Unfortunately I'm still not at a place where I can afford multiple customs so I was forced to sell my 2011 Johnson to afford this one. I'm couldn't be more pleased. I had to run outside before the rain and try and capture a few pictures of this BEAUTIFUL knife. I think I did a decent job at capturing the character of this knife. The bone is everything him and I talked about. It really does have a vintage, pocket worn feel that I'm not sure comes across the computer screen.

Many thanks to you, Mr. Johnson.

That's a beauty Michael. I like the worn look too, and the WT is a real functional pattern.

I've been staring at this knife for almost 24 hours now and I can't find one flaw in the execution. I think Keith deserves credit for being an extraordinary traditional knife maker. Everything is completely flush at every stage, dead on center and scary sharp. Everything on the knife has a purpose and it showcased as such. Too many times you see small details overlooked or even ignored. Not on this knife. The nail nicks are bold and crisp, the pins are proud and polished, everything down to the smallest detail has been thought out and executed.

Did I mention it's crazy sharp?

Keith's work is top notch. I'm lucky enough to have 3 of his and I can assure you he has an eye for detail! That WT looks great, very refined.

After I received the WT (pictured above) from Mr. Johnson I knew what I had to do. Order another one in my dream material.

Here is a little teaser of the Wharncliffe Trapper which should be here in 3-4 days. It's dressed in Randall's yellow micarta which was made by Westinghouse.

I have to say, this is my dream knife. I can't wait to see how the micarta ages and gains character.

That Randall yeller micarta is dreamy, and looks top shelf on every knife I see it on. Great choice and very nice trapper!

Nicely proportioned WTs, both of 'em. A stellar pattern, well done!!

What a great day in the wet side of Washington. Came home after a great day of coaching youth baseball in the sun to find a box from Mr. Johnson. I CANNOT capture the color of this golden micarta from Randalls. It's deep and beautiful but my camera isn't grabbing it.

This knife is an amazing show of craftsmanship. It's obvious that Keith is someone I hold in high regard, but if you haven't held any of his recent work, you need to. It's flawless. Everything is absolutely flush and centered.

Mihael,

Beautiful, I love this pattern and so faithfully reproduced by a superb craftsman. The yellow micarta is warm and
begs to be held, it makes me smile, it's my sunny day.
