Keith Johnson Knives

What a great classy looking knife! I really like the worm groove scales, very traditional looking.

Terrific look, I like the initials on the shield, overall wonderful work as usual! Keith how are you
feeling about the washers vs. milled liners?

Jeff

I've only built three knives with washers so I'm still working on the technique. As of right now they are more difficult than milling the frame. I like the cleaner look.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

The knife arrived today and it is perfect!

I certainly agree with Keith that the washers are a cleaner look.

Here's one I just finished for a customer. It's 3 7/8" closed, CPM 154 CM blade & spring, mill relieved liners, integral bolsters, it has a bronze pivot bushing. It's covered in Westinghouse white Micarta with a red spacer.

That's really nice, a great contrast to have the red spacer and light coloured handle material.

Looks great Keith, lucky dog Chris

I just sent this one off to it's new home today. It's my first backpocket. 4" closed, CTS-XHP stainless blade, Integral bolsters/liners, fluted and threaded bolsters, ivory covers.

I am very happy, as usual, with one of Keith's masterful creations! As soon as it gets here it's on it's way to the
engraver to have my initials engraved on the shield, will post more photos when finished.
Jeff

That looks great Keith, I don't think I've seen any of your knives with ivory before.

Awesome score Jeff!

My new knife from Keith, a knife I intended to be a special knife just for me. And Keith delivered! CPM D2 and White Westinghouse Micarta. This is far and away the nicest custom knife I own.

This is what Keith's White Westinghouse Micarta actually looks like. It appears more bright yellow in Keith's pics--for example in post #445 above--due to the white balance settings on his camera.
