Keith Johnson Knives

Keith is top rate .. I always enjoy our conversation, kind of like catching up with a old friend.

Johnny,

You very eloquently stated your impressions about Keith, I too have become very fond of him not only as a fine knife maker,
but as a man and one who is very willing to push himself and try new projects. It was at my request that Keith excepted my challenge
to make integrals and add bushings to his skills list. He has preformed up to my expectations and beyond, I hope to meet him face to face soon,
hopefully at the "Blade" this year!

I have an ivory BackPocket on order now and as a small boy, I look froward to the arrival of each new package. When I know that one of those
packages is arriving I send my wife to the food store, if you know what I mean!

Pleased to add you to my friends list, the knives are wonderful, made even better by the friendships created by man's first tool!

Jeff

You guys are too kind! It's always a great feeling when a knife turns out well. It's an even better feeling when I have a satisfied customer and friend. Thank you.

A while ago I found this thread, drooled for hours and hours (and hours)...the next day I sent Keith an email and secured a spot on his list. I didn't even know what a Lanny's clip was when I first opened this thread. Mr. Johnson is a true gentlemen and a perfectionist in every sense of the word. He spent ALOT of time going back and forth with me on every detail to be sure it was exactly what I wanted - and he didn't disappoint. It was quite an enjoyable process due to Keith's personality, expertise and talent. I feel like the education alone was worth the price of admission.

I should have it in a few days, but I wanted to share my excitement (and cost somebody else some money when they, too, find this thread!).

I already have another project with Keith lined up and am thinking of a third. Thanks Keith!!!

Its a ~4.5" LB Lanny's Clip.

Kirk,

Great looking locking LC! Keith did a wonderful job on this one. I was going to ask to see the pile side stag when I realized a shield on both sides! :o:thumbup: Keith did a great job of matching covers from mark to pile side. With stag that is not always an easy task.

+1 Keith did a fantastic job.

Keith,

You already know I am a BIG fan and get a certain thrill when I see your name because I know there will be something special

in the thread. Beautiful addition to your LC repertoire, you bring thoughts to life in your steel creations.

Finally have her in hand, she is beautiful. I'm very pleased, the fit and finish is incredible and the lockback action is especially impressive. Its silky smooth but closes with an authoritative click. Thanks Keith, what a great introduction to a fabulous hobby.

The obligatory bedspread shot lol.

Keith great job buddy! Looks very nice. Keith is one of the best guys on the forums... He deserves
all the GOOD that comes his way... Congrats buddy.

(and cost somebody else some money when they, too, find this thread!).

No kidding! I found this thread back in the fall and decided I had to have a Lanny's Clip of my own. It's a beautiful pattern, and coming out of Keith's hands it looked spectacular. So he's finishing mine up now. :-)

Congrats Brian, is that the first wood handled LC Keith has made - looks beautiful. What kind of wood is that?

Keith says it's rosewood -- I'm not sure if it's his first wood-handled LC or not. I love wood, and asked for something that showed nice grain, and this was his suggestion. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in person.

Thanks, if you told me it was a restored knife from 50 -100 years ago I'd believe it! Classic.

My first knife from Keith will be arriving in a couple days. Keith has been incredible to work with on this project, he went over every detail with me and I know I'm going to love it when it gets here.

4" Jack CPM 154 CM, 410 SS milled frame w/integral polished bolsters, pinned shield with my initials, worm groove bone scales. Bearing bronze pivot bushing, washers instead of milled frame.

Looks great Rob! Keith is a great guy and fun to deal with... Congrats to you both.

Terrific look, I like the initials on the shield, overall wonderful work as usual! Keith how are you
feeling about the washers vs. milled liners?
