Ken Coats Slipjoints

This one is very pleasing to my eye, Ken! The blade shape, the shield, the handle shape all have a nice synergy.

Looks great!
What do you mean by "hard" soldered?

I mean the solder is a silver brazing alloy. Most people that solder bolsters use low
temp 430 degree solder. This is done with oxy-acetlylene-the temp required is
around 1200 degrees. Its 56% silver, no danger of getting it too hot and knocking
a bolster off, plus the joint is pretty much invisible.
Ken.

Doing a little bridge grafting with a Ken Coats Toothpic.

Best knife I own.

Very nice trapper pattern and I liked the look of that sambar stag on the last one.

Man Dave I've seen pics of bridge grafting, never had the guts to
try it. Best of luck and great to see you're enjoying the knife. The
grafts look great, time will tell.
Ken.

Did that about a month ago, and so far the tree has blossoms. I'm waiting on pins and needles to see if they will hang around. The mice totally stripped the tree, all the way around. I grafted 4 trees, and replaced the other 7 trees.

Here's a simple swayback going out tommorow, it has nice Burl Oak on
it. Comments welcome, NFS Ken.

One I just finished up this afternoon, been a while since I've done
an EO with a clip. Also been a while since I've used my "Ace of Spades"
shield. 3 3/8" closed, my dyed and jigged bone. Comments welcome. Ken. NFS

Hubba! Hubba! What a beauty!

Those are some might fine lines on that clip.

This one was one of those with no fight or problems in the build. Steel Ats-34,
my dyed and jigged bone, pinned shield, both blades lay center. The secondary
blade and spring was taken down to .072, primary at .092. 3 7/8" closed,
comments welcome and Thanks for the look. Ken. NFS

Sir, you are an artiste! It took me a moment to pick out, 'what's different about that knife?' (above). Then I realized it's the s/s liners. Simply gorgeous!

The combination of the EO cutout for the main blade and the recess for the nail nick for the secondary is great!
