Kerry Hampton Knives

What a unique and unusual knife, Kerry! Looks to be done to perfection! Makes me want to take up golfing again. Is the shield/ball marker held in place with a magnet? I can't think of another way to do that.

What's to say...just check out the dang images. :p It is a prototype and I will make some slight improvements but I am overall happy with the way this knife works. My brother has already called dibs on this one so it is going to get some immediate field testing. Judging from his play, I doubt that he will be using the the dimple fork ... EVER! :D

The shield is a removable ball marker. AIN'T THAT COOL, CAMPBELL! :)

Very cool!

I'm also curious how the ball marker shield is held in place.

Yes, the shield is 410 stainless and has enough carbon in it to be magnetic. I put a magnet under it and built the pocket so that I can "rock" the shield and lift it out.

Is that a " Golf -ball -Buster " ????

Great knife, Kerry! I really like your style of perfectly built traditional knives with that special touch :)

First let me say "Thank You" for all the very nice comments on the work (dare I say "play") I have been doing on the knives. So, I think I will keep doing it. :)

Now on to the matter at hand....that CNasty has some weird ideas, but I like him.:D He asked me to make for him a two-blade Lanny's Clip in the Wharncliffe Trapper configuration but I talked him out of it. I said it was too darn bulky and that W blade will stick up out of the frame too far...unhandy and fugly. He just HAD to have a two-blade Lanny's clip so I decided to make it into a jack configuration with a smaller secondary blade in front of the clip.

This knife turned out so special I felt that we needed to give it a name and I gave the honors (with my right of refusal, of course ;) ) to Campbell. He started texting me with ideas like they were being shot out of a 45 auto...and BAM!....Tennesee Jack! A totally appropriate name.

The blades and springs are 154CM. The clip is 1/8" stock and the wharncliffe blade is .108" stock. Campbell wanted it pimped up in his usual style with double, double-bomb shields and caps (PITA!)

In the words of a BF friend... "It's a beast!"

I know, I dredged up a 5 year old post but it took me a while to find this. This is and has been and is still my dream slippie since I first laid eyen on it. My question is has there ever been any more made? I love the Lanny's clip design and adding the small wharncliffe blade just tops off this knife perfectly.
