Kerry Hampton Knives

Very nice Charlie.

Here's a simpler knife from KnifeHead KnifeHead . IIRC Kerry said he makes fixed blades whenever he needs a break from the aggravation of making folders.

Like an episode of The Twilight Zone (a reference for old farts), I am actually working on another knife. It's a 3 5/8" Regular Jack. It is very much like a long Barlow but much shorter than a daddy. The spring looks just like the 3 3/8" Bose Barlow pattern but 1/4" longer. The blade in this is the Diamond Edge Cattle Knife master clip blade.khampton-358boneregularjack.jpg

This voice from the Twilight Zone sees a REAL nice Jack, Kerry!! Nice to see your hand is in again!!!

It's a done deal. 3 5/8" Regular Jack. One of the interesting things about this knife is the blade is the same as the master blade in the DE Cattle Knife. CPM154 blade and spring. 800 grit satin finish. The bone came from one of the Blade Shows Cullpepper Co. table many shows ago (don't ask me when because alcohol was probably involved). The jigging was a bit shallow so I did a little jiggyjiggin over it. Far from perfect but it's always a goal. Tony would be proud because I had to use some of the old Indian tricks he taught me. ;)

(just noticed I had some dust or something somewhere so, pardon the dustydust) :D

My shop, BROWN AV(enue) WORKS. Not WILFRED WORKS in Wilfred, IN but BROWN AV WORKS in Terre Haute, IN. It's different so folks can tell the difference between the knives that Tony HT'd for me and the whole magilla deal goin on now, knowmsayin'? :D
