I had a nice conversation with Kerry today. Apparently my # has come up. I asked for something a little different. A modification of a current pattern so to speak. It goes without saying that I'm excited. :)

Anyone would be excited to get "THE CALL" from Kerry. I can't wait to see what you post up.

Dude...what is it????

Well....I had a tough time deciding. I initially wanted a khnutbuster because honestly...who doesn't...but the sway backs in this thread are just so nice I couldn't make up my mind. After a rigorous negotiation with Kerry we came to a compromise. A modified wharncliffe blade (etched A2) khnutbuster with jigged bone and a keystone shield. Kerry is going to make the shield.....I'm a proud Pennsylvania boy and love the keystone shields.

Naturally I had him throw me back on his pile-o-names because I really need one of his ivory sway backs.

Good idea morrowj to get back on the list for a Swayback. Got my Ivory Kerry Swayback in my pocket right now and like it more than the day it arrived from Kerry.

Can wait for my time to come up again to get an the opposing ivory Trapper from Kerry.

sunnyd is going to be a happy camper when he checks his email tomorrow ;) I'll let him have posting honors of the pix if he wants to.

Yes, he wants to :D .. To say I am a happy camper is an understatement. ;)

First off, Id like to thank Kerry ever so much for his patience with me during this project. I am in awe of him for that. And to say it plainly, he is just a very cool guy and they do not come any finer!.

I was going for a very traditional look for this knife, but one that I will be needing to use and use hard during my frequent hunting and fishing adventures. Well, let me tell y'all, Kerry nailed her!!. She is just perfection and is exactly what I has hoping for in every respect and then some. Thanks again Kerry, you are the best! :)

OK here we go.. Cannot wait to break this one in next month on an Osceola Tom Turkey for the upcoming Spring Gobbler Season..

The above is 4 inch KH-BP with a 52100 blade and A-2 springs treated with a ferric chloride etch to resist corrosion. Pull open/closed spring request was 'stiff'. Round fluted bolsters and scaled with sweetly jigged bone dyed brown. I must confess I am quite taken the way the bone excepted the dye with the red--rust highlights. All topped with a double badge shield.

Congrats Anthony, that knife will serve you well as you tromp through Florida on your hunts. Great job Kerry. I love the color of the bone and the jigging, the big ol swedge, the double bomb shield, etc. Heck, the whole knife rocks.

Any pics of the backspring? That's one of my favorite views of KH's work.. Man that 52100 really really does it for me.. Good stuff..

No, not yet. Kerry was kind enough to take these thus far though. I will take some additional photo's when she arrives and will include at least one of the back-spring, I promise. Thanks for your comments. Kerry really out did himself on this one IMO.
