I try to make them all look like that on the busters but each knife is unique afterall. Thanks for noticing and saying something about it.

I crack up everything I think of the escutcheon as a "scrotum shield." :D

Semi? Semi? Nothing "semi" about it. The Khnutbusters are uber-famous. :D
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT, ROB!
SOMEONE WILL BE SMILING BIG WHEN THAT KHNUTBUSTER SHOWS UP!
YOU NAILED ANOTHER ONE, KERRY!!

Thank you folksy folks. I appreciate the recognition and to keep things in perspective, I'd like to mention that without the help and friendship of Tony and the use of his shop, I wouldn't be able to make these knives with any consistency.

There are a number of talented knifemakers whose knives are often posted in these forums. They are working hard at making knives, many of them on a full time basis, and deserve more recognition than I. It would be great to see some threads started with their names as well.

I try to not take myself too serious and I realize how fortunate it is to be me. I'm having more fun than the law should allow. :D

Hey! Last time I mentioned different size nicks on the knutts you jumped on me and said thanks for pointing out your flaws...I guess you just like Vince a lot better than me :( I'm going to go cry now...

Finally arrived!
I can't match Kerry's photography, but I've been comparing the two knives in this pair, and thought I could share that with you, in my own scruffy style.
All scratches, orts and other mung are the fault of poor scanner maintenance, and no reflection on the Knifemaker!
I've scanned them side by side, to show the subtleties of difference, in what are similar patterns. Getting the geometry right on a given folder is a fine art. So many thing happen when you open and close the blades. Three different positions have to result in flush backsprings; open, half-stop, and closed. The pivot and kick have to work together as well, so the blade hides closed nicely, but remains accessible. Fitting a Wharncliffe which curves opposite of these trapper handles when closed requires everything to be just so.
And the Zulu, a modified Wharncliffe is nearly as tricky.
Can you see the slight differences?
Then there's the walk and talk. Subtle difference in the walk to half stop, vs. the walk to open is the key to approaching a perfect knife. (Will there ever be such a thing?) These are very nice indeed; easier to open to the first or half-stop stage, then a little harder for the second - full open, when you have more access and more leverage, and want it to stay in position to use it. I first noticed the difference on the Old Dog's knives. Grasshopper has been paying attention!!
I am so pleased with these knives. Nice going Kerry! Thank You!

You're very welcome, Charlie. Dang...lookin at my knives on a scanner image is kinda scary.

Scanner images are not flattering! All warts are revealed; I think your knives do very well, Kerry!
