Kershaw 1595 G10 Tactical Speed Bump New Model Bump?

FYI, if you read the current reviews people are pointing out these new Bumps are Asian made with the Chinese steel Kershaw uses. No agenda here just letting everybody know...

I'm actually happy that more people get to enjoy one of my favorite designs whatever the model number may be. Probably pick up one or two myself.

It may be worth writing to Amazon Customer Service to get them to update the description to reflect the different steel for this run. It's still made by Kershaw, so you can expect the same great quality and customer service. I've been quite happy with my imported Kershaws so far and am looking forward to some of their upcoming imported offerings (Injection and Thermite in particular).

I ordered one of these Kershaw G10 Tactical Speed Bump 1595G10 from Amazon. I think they're the only one that carry these? It does say imported from China.

In two places it says 8CR13MOV steel for the blade but in one other it says Sandvik 14C28N. So, which is it?

There was a production run of them in the Sandvik steel. Those sold out a long time ago. The ones they are producing now are made in China with the 8cr13mov steel.

i don't care what steel or where it was made, the bump design is one of the best working knives i've ever used...i've got a spec bump and a 8CR13 one that i use all the time...

I love my Speedbumps. Love them so much I bought three.

Well, the bottom one isn't technically a Speedbump, but whatever, it's close enough ;)

I really dig my SpyKer too. I have Serial# 72. Do you know how many were made? Perhaps you should start a new Serial# thread for the SpyKer?

Around 4000 I think.
Where's the serial number?

On the blade above where it says SpyKer. Also, on the pouche it came with.

I just opened the pouche and there's a card in there saying:

Spyderco certifies that this is one of a 3000 piece limited production run of the Spyderco-Kershaw collaboration.

Yeah, I read that and updated my post.
I think only the first hundred were serialed. Because if you google pictures they don't have serial numbers. Mine included.

Here's what mine looks like:
