Kershaw 1595 G10 Tactical Speed Bump New Model Bump?

The only sad part was that I could not use the new knife to open the box the knife came in!!! LOL

This thread + such a great deal = me buying a 2nd 1595. Those modification pics have me motivated to send this second purchase off for some customization, and being such a huge bargain I don't feel too badly about spending extra money on it.

Gotta say, best value in my knife-collecting career.

I am really happy with mine. I've wanted a Speed bump in this configuration (Sandvik blade w/ G10 handles) for years now. I was bummed when I missed that short run of Speed/Spec bumps a few years ago. The fact that it only cost $40 is just icing on the cake.

The knife is awesome. Action is good, lock up is solid. Feels great in the hand, and the blade shape is surprisingly functional (for how extreme it looks). Five minutes with a vice and needle-nose pliers had the clip totally functional. Another 5 minutes on the Sharpmaker and it was hair-popping sharp. Fit and finish isn't perfect, but better than more expensive knives.

Received mine yesterday, a day earlier than estimated and I'm quite pleased. Everything looks great, functions perfectly, blade centered, etc. The only issue at all was the edge down near the base was a little rough though the majority of the edge would shave hair out of the box. Couple of minutes on the Sharpmaker and even that small error was corrected.

My first Speed Bump and I like it.

Oh, one other thing and I don't know if it's just mine or all are like this but the clip has a very shallow bend at the top and a slight turn up at the tip to allow it to slid over your pocket. With the edge of my pocket on my jeans being somewhat thick, thicker than the factory bend in the clip, it actually pushes the clip open and this makes the upturned end of the clip stick out from the side of my pocket quite a bit. Will try and take a couple of pics later today.

Common issue. Most people have fixed it by removing the clip and bending it to how we want it and reinstalling it.

here's some pictures from a recent hike

Well, I love this knife, it has become one of my EDC. I actually don't use the.clip, I make short lanyards and just put it in my pocket. Works just fine!

Oh yeah! Hey Kershaw, could you do the same thing with the "Offset" as you didwith the bump? I missed out on that great blade also!

They already did almost the same with the Offset. The used up the last blades to do a short run of the 1597G10SW.
They stone-washed the blades instead of DLC. It did still have the 3D machined scales though.
