Woo-hoo!The Tilt's have left the factory btw!!!
I didn't think anything more than just dialog. Although I am looking for an answer from you on that perfect lockbar positioning...I wasn't trying to be an a-hole or anything, it appeared to me that Thomas wanted some feedback and I offered my two cents. I wasn't complaining, I was giving an honest review of what I thought. I love the Tilt and I have no plan's to sell it, but I figured I could be honest without anyone's feelings getting hurt. I love my Kershaws, especially my higher end Kershaws.
If it would please everyone for me to remove my post then I will.
AA, thanks for the solid post. I think being picky is ok, it's a lot of jack peeps are throwing down. Still can't sleep, and morning is coming...damn.
l_l, how does it differ from your expectations?
Look, the Tilt is personal with me. Tommie worked his ass of on the design, and we shared closely on concept. Lots of back and forth. We both visualized it, and he nailed it. Hell, the two of us named the knife based on our love for pinball.Dude take stock in the fact that the knife rocks. I'm glad I have another on the way, this first one's going in my pocket and it'll be there until further notice. I love my Volt, I love my Speedform, and now I've got a Tilt. You guys did a solid job on this one, it's really outstanding.
It's always great to hear that the real deal betters expectations. The reverse is of course, the reverse.I expected it to me more of a run of the mill framelock. What arrived is more unique. I've never seen black titanium before and never seen it skeletonized. I didn't pick up on that before it came. The blade shape looks pointier in person and I find't expect it to be coated. The carbon fiber looks very nice - again better than expected.
I didn't know what to expect with the flipper but it works great. Feels like some grease might make it smoother.
Great job.
I think I mentioned before that the bias was an idea one of our machinists came up with. Shout out to Lloyd!!!!The lockbar placement is perfect for me. Early, but not too early. Solid with no play. You can tell that the mating between the lockbar and blade tang is tight, but the release of the lock is smooth without any stickiness. I've already stated a few times that the lockbar cut on the bias is a favorite feature of mine as well.
As I've been saying Tony, it's all good. Now go cut something will ya. I wanna hear about the V75.Edit: Thomas, I never said I had an issue with the blade grind the way that it is or that I didn't like it. I like it very much.
