Kershaw Tilt...again.

I just noticed a little chunk missing on my carbon fiber scale adjacent to the hole drilled for the pivot screw. But the rest of the carbon fiber is so nice, I am not even worried about it.

Glad to hear there will be more V75 knives, is it still a Kershaw exclusive? At least in terms of a production folding knife.

Mine has that as well, and have read of at least one other with that problem. It sucks but it's not really all that noticeable.

I've got the same issue with my dlc tilt and although it's not glaringly obvious, more so from the side view- it's still there. Normally I'd be really irked, but in this case, with all the positives that the knife offers, I'm more apt than usual to just accept it. It's understandable, just part of the hazards of keeping tight cutting tolerances on carbon fiber. Besides, having a couple perfect samples of the stone-wash version eases the pain and I could always swap it out with one of the other scales; or maybe not.

All the same, still a wonder to look at and use...

Okay I guess I have missed it somewhere, but just received my Tilt yesterday and am wondering on the thoughts of those that have switched it to tip up?

At any rate one heck of a knife! A beauty, and super smooth! love it!

It's much better tip up. IMHO, its the only way to carry it without it taking up your whole pocket.

I can see how that would be very true , the curve would go toward the back of the pocket.
Ive yet to carry and of mine though ....LOL Its hard puttin that first mark on them.........:D

I haven't "carried" mine per se, but I have changed it to tip up (my preference) and slipped it in my pocket a few times to see how it feels.

At first I was carrying without a clip...loose in my pocket with just my hankie. I sat down to tie my shoes to take the dogs out and felt a pinch at the crook of my arm and looked down and it was cutting through skin. I guess it came open and out of my pocket. Missed the arteries but still went down to the fat layer. Funny how that as soon as I got pressure on the wound with the hankie I worried more about cleaning my knife than looking at the wound. Went to Emergency but big lineup so went home and used Super Glue for first week. We had our March Break vacation booked for the next day so glad the glue worked. My wife wanted me to sell it but I think she forgot about it (I hope! ). It's healing good but will have a scar. Gotta watch keeping a hankie in knife pocket cause pulling out the hankie might open the knife a bit.

Glad you're ok, and damn tilts are sharp

My tilt took my finger tip nearly clean off, the only thing that stopped it was the blade hitting my finger nail. I didn't even feel it until the blood started dripping down my hand.

Exact same happened to me last year with a Kershaw TiZDP leek. Fingernail was all that was between that blade and the whole thing slicing off. 12 stitches....

These Kershaws come way to sharp , what are they trying to do hurt somebody , when i get done drinking this whiskey i am taking the Tilt , Blur and Groove downstairs putting them in the vise and getting my files out and dull them down .

Sorry, but this story made me smile. :D

Ya I haven't seen Kershaws sharpness disclaimer in quite a while.

It sucks when you don't even notice the injury until you find blood all over. Been there.
Careful guys.

You know what's funny, I can't seem to get my Tilt as sharp as my other knives. The Vanax 75 polishes nice and I am following the same technique I use on everything else. It just doesn't want to keep a magazine laser cutting edge. I use a Lansky diamond set down to 1000 BTW.

Smoothe and polished isn't always good....i been using mine daily at work for a month and no need to strop it yet.
