You probably saw this expecting something about the morality of his clones, or their value, or whatever.
Nope.
This is a Kevin John custom knife, before he made the clones.

Full titanium and a Swedish damasteel blade.

Ummmm, is this a joke ? That is a blatant Scott Cook Lochsa rip off.

Lochsa rip off!

I never really understood why somebody with the skill to make a knife like that would want to waste his talent by ripping off other designs?

I think the similarity stops at the handle shape. If you've seen his machining, he certainly could have just copied it. But, he didn't.

So why are you posting this ? Those knives have been about for ages and are quite blatantly rip off of the Lochsa. :thumbdn:

The handle shape and blade shape are straight off the Lochsa, the only reason it is a two piece frame lock is because they couldn't make an integral.

The blade is an almost exact copy as well. So if the handles and blade match the Lochsa what left is his design, the stand offs?

Yep. But he can now, and does make lochsa integral copies. He just couldn't back then. It doesn't make is less of a ripoff.

Indeed they do make integral Lochsa rip offs, they too have been about for a while now. Not cool at all.

Is "Kevin John" an actual individual? I thought it was just a typical western name that was chosen by a counterfeiter to make their knives sound more legitimate?

Haha I basically thought the same thing. I've seen his (or their) Hinderers on da bay and some other knockoffs like Striders.
