The southard is the fake one, but my point is, is that it was listed on eBay as a legit southard. I never saw the listing since my mom bought it for my b-day, but she knows nothing about knives. She just heard me talk about a southard before, and knows that "that spyder company" make them

The thing came in a legit spyderco box with legit paperwork and everything. And I had no clue it was fake until I noticed someone else's.

Put it this way, if someone showed you this knife, you'd think it was legit unless:
a) they told you it was fake
b) you've seen a fake before

That doesn't surprise me at all. I truly believe the time is coming when only the manufacturer will be able to tell them apart.
