Not the only one...staff has been watching, communicating backchannel, and had reached out to him via DM awaiting new developments.
 
In good faith I went ahead and paid for a third knife that the seller and I had been discussing (Survive 4.7 Cru Forge).
I decided to pay before the other two knives showed up after he agreed to my offer of $260.00, and he sent me a pic of a tracking number that should be the other two knives I bought from him.
I sent a DM that I paid the $260 and he seems like he is starting to back out of the deal and is now ghosting me. I sent him a copy of the conversation where he agreed to the price. Here is the part of that conversation below.
Can a MOD please explain to this member that his agreement to accept my offer is a contract that must be honored?

I had a heart attack on Sunday . I just got out of the hospital. Yes if you want to do 260 on it that’s fine let’s do it. Everything will ship today ? It ships with the g10 handles

I don't see where he is backing out of the deal, but if you have evidence that he accepted the offer and that you paid that amount, then he must fulfill the transaction to keep his membership on this site.

Here's our PM's on the transaction. I'm not sure what he needs to "let me know in just a bit"? I offered. He accepted. I paid. I communicated. Now he's ghosting me. He listed at $345. I offered $260. He accepted. I agreed and paid. I try to obey all the rules and my feedback says so. I'm pretty sure the only thing left for him to do is ship my knife and send me the tracking info. Is that correct?​

On a side note, his OP said he was "desperate", "sick mom", and "needed the money", "make him an offer, he'll accept it", etc. etc. Now he's sold a few knives and suddenly he can't remember that HE accepted my offer and I did everything the way I'm supposed to according to the rules. I understand the struggles he's been through. I really do, BUT, that doesn't relieve him of his responsibility for this transaction and honoring his contract.

I'll take the Survive 4.7 Pre-production at $260.00 but under the circumstances, I'd like to wait until I get the other two I already paid for. Your thread has gone off the rails and I understand you had the heart attack but there are lots of people who sent money and no one even has tracking numbers yet that I'm aware of. Once the knives hit my mailbox, I'll gladly come on and pay for the Survive knife. I wish you well and hope you have a speedy recovery. Please update me with tracking on the Tops BOB and ESEE PR4.

I've read the DMs and invited two of my colleagues to them as well. I have seen where he agreed to the price. (What his state of mind was at the time, I don't know, and won't speculate.)

But yes, he did agree and should honor the price paid unless you agree to let him off the hook.

He hasn't asked yet and I understand about the state of mind question. At the moment, I'd like to get the knife I paid for without sounding like a douchebag. I really do understand, and I'm not trying to take advantage, but, he was in a great state of mind when he needed to sell all these knives and generate quick cash. Lets see what happens, but I sure would appreciate a mod letting him know he needs to honor his word and contract. That's up to you guys of course. I'll follow whatever rules you tell me to follow.

Just let it play out. There are now three of us who will be able to read, monitor and comment in the conversation via DM. Let's keep it there and use this thread for others to chime in when their purchases are delivered...or aren't.
 
I requested a refund before he shipped them. magically he send me a tracking and tells me no refunds.


THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. Look at all the different interactions with this one member.

It’s red flags across the board. Heck he hasn’t even came here to state otherwise, only staying in PMs.

Yes. I reached out via PM a few moments ago and it appears he's clearly ghosting me and everyone else. And yes, he's stolen $260.00 from me.

I paid on 2/21. Since that time, I have heard nothing from the seller. I have sent PM's and posted in the thread as well. I know multiple mods are working on this. Has anyone contacted the seller yet on this second round of taking money and ghosting members? I'm just curious where my case is at the moment.

Is it possible to get his address so I can go get my money back?
 
I received the knives I paid for in the original post. The Tops BOB and the ESEE PR4. I have had ZERO communication on the SK 4.7 and I paid $260.00 for that on 2/21.
