Kizer Cutlery - experiences?

Okay, I wasn't paying much attention to Kizer, but those plus-sized framelocks have piqued my interest. Not sure if I'll pick one up, but I'm very curious.

I just saw the Ki4416 GTI. This is the Gringrich design and it looks totally awesome. It is a linerlock with what appear to be some thick liner's that are anodized blue as is the pocket clip. Blade steel is S35V and the blade is 3 1/2" length X .157" thick, with a weight of 7 ounces. Just like the Klecker design, this knife is right down my alley. I am committed to getting the Klecker designed Ki4411 in a couple of weeks and if it turns out to be as good as it looks, then the Gringrich design will be my 2nd Kiser.

They look like some nice knives, but them using TAD's skull design without permission just rubs me the wrong way. If I'm wrong and they did work something out, I might give them a try.

The gingrich knife reminds me of my jeff hall custom; liners are anodized & almost as thick as a framelock. might have to order it this weekend. still drooling over the pics of it for now. These knives are my revenge for the crazy prices lately on the secondary market of knives that are going for twice their price or more. Same materials, similar quality for way less. sounds good to me....

Early next week I'll have my Kizer model KI3404A1 flipper with a stonewashed 3" blade of S35VN, titanium framelock and handles. I'll let you know regrading fit & finish and flipper action. The price is very attractive.

The skulls are a copy of Tad Gear. Shady company to say the least.

Leave it to Bladeforums for ruining a knife scouting/buying expedition. Are Lionsteel knives still okay to seek?

Ignorance isn't always bliss. Best to know the truth and then make your decisions accordingly.

Wow, I know the OP said he didn't want to get into the TB or country debate but frankly I'm surprised so many folks here are willing to ignore questionable ethics and support this company.

If you believe they have questionable ethics don't order from them. Ethics aside, it sounds like they make a solid product and I'm curious to see what they offer in the future. I'd love to handle some of the large frame locks they make.

Delete- don't want to start that debate again.

The skulls on that knife are not like the tad gear ones, theres a tooth missing,& the eye sockets are round. Its better then that sickening punisher skull that i hate so much...

Please educate yourself on the subject matter. The knife is a TAD Strider SnG. Same skulls

Removed. This thread has gone way off topic onto the very subject it was specifically said not too.

Furthermore neither party has provided documentation to prove who came up with what first. It's a pissing match of he said she said.
Anyone taking sides is making an assumption that they know what the truth is.

They are exactly like the tad gear ones. Did you even look at the patch that someone posted a bit ago or go to the website to see? I let tad gear know about their skull design being used and they were definitely interested in finding out about what was going on.

Good job. I also emailed them. It's is a blatant ripoff of TAD. Idk why people feel a need to support companies that steal. I guess some people are just to broke to buy the real thing so they justify it to feel good about supporting thieves.

Or they just can't justify spending over triple for a knife that has more issues than the "ripoff"
It's called value my friend.

Now, now... we're supposed to throw our principles out for this thread. It's all about the "quality" of the product, not the ethics of the company.
