Knif3buy3r --- Don't Buy From

The knife was listed on two seperate unaffiliated knife websites. Bladeforums and somewhere else entirely. Common practice. Maybe a caveat informing potential buyers that the knife was listed elsewhere could have helped.

Rule8;All ads should be placed in ONE appropriate forum. NO CROSS POSTING OF ADS IN MULTIPLE FORUMS.

+1. I fully agree with this.

Find a place you want to sell it and pitch it. People that post sale threads saying "This is also on eBay, whichever goes first gets it." ruins it for me.

That being said, if I got ~5-6 emails (I think I lost count there) from one person about a knife in a row I probably wouldn't sell it to him either.

Just so we are clear, I don't think the new rules prohibit a member from offering a knife for sale on more than one website simultaneously. The way I read it you could NOT offer a knife for sale in a For Sale forum (here on BladeforumS) and also offer it for trade in the For Trade forum (here on Bladeforums). You COULD have a knife for sale on another site at the same time you had it for sale here on BF. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

Considering many people do just that I would say the rules indicate that if the knife if for sale on BladeForums then it should not be posted for sale on other sites.

How does he have "No Honor"?Because he decided not to sell to you?

I agree with Esav. The buyer is not obligated to sell to anyone, especially if that person makes him feel uncomfortable.

Also DaBird,You have ZERO iTrader feedback. That may be an issue too.

I just wanted to add I have done a transaction with DaBird and he was very pleasant and just a great transaction. I never left feedback with itraded but I will do so now.

Also him quoting the "I'll take it" post makes me also think DaBird got it.

Guys, let me address this question of other websites.

Just as we don't like cross-forum bashing, we should avoid cross-forum references in the Exchange. Because it doesn't matter.

I may sell a knife on BF and post a flashlight on BF and two other websites. In both sales I will describe the item, post pictures, and set terms of purchase and mailing. I will not mention that I have the item for sale elsewhere since I take it for granted that I am free to do so and it's no one's business where else it's offered.

What if my brother stopped by and liked it? I'd give it to him, and shut down the sale, just as if I sold it somewhere else. Nunya bidness why you didn't get it, someone else did, my choice of who that should be.

* ****** **** ****** *

Bladeforums does not set rules for other websites! We only say you can post for trade in the Trade forums, or for sale in the sales forums, or for sale or trade in the sales forums. Pick one place, not trade forums and sales forums.

^Thank you Esav. While I feel bad for the OP since he didn't get a knife he wanted I do not believe that Knif3Buy3r did anything wrong here. He should not have been called out like this. Check that. I just now read the above post. No negative feedback should have been left on either end. This thread should have been the end of this IMHO.

DaBird said he left negative feedback, so it'd seem that Knif3buy3r left retaliatory negative feedback, although it seems like DB left it on the other forum, not BF. Feedback from either should not have been given, since no deal ever even existed to fall through. I can empathize with KB wanting to leave negative feedback in response to having received some, but the proper thing to have done would be to dispute it with the appropriate admins.

I think what DaBird meant by "I left negative feedback" was that he had started this thread. Nothing wrong with starting a thread here. The title was a little harsh. Over the course of the thread it seems that KB3 was being exonerated. That was the purpose of the thread to get to the bottom of it. Leaving negative iTrader feedback was very poor form on the part of KB3 but I am betting it was done in haste and can be corrected. One more example of how poor communication can ruin a deal or even a reputation or two.

Maybe. I don't have access to the "other" forum, so maybe someone who does can confirm/deny this?

Until there is an agreement between BOTH parties there is no deal. There was no agreement, no money changed hands; there never was a deal. This thread should not have been posted. This forum is for feedback on deals that went down on Bladeforums. Someone else bought the knife before you got to it, why is that so hard to understand?

Well all I can say is...Be cautious when dealing with Da Bird because you may have to deal with BS like this.

Thanks Mr. Benyamin, your 50,000+ plus posts speaks to your experience with situations like this.

just my two cents, but i've done a couple of deals with DaBird on some other forums, and he caused no BS. he was very down to earth and was easy to do business with. i wouldnt let this statement discourage anybody from doing business with Jerry. from my experience he is a great guy to do business with.

EXACTLY CORRECT THE ABOVE ---------- If you read both my posts , I think it is explained ---- I CAN POST HERE the emails I sent to him stateing I would buy it and timestamps on them , the time stamp on his ad here at BF ,

IF THE SELLER want to post my emails to him -- I GIVE MY CONSENT.

AND I TAKE THAT AS CONSENT TO POST HIS UP ALSO.

PLEASE ------ I DO NOT care if I "WON" THE KINFE --------------- I WAS IGNORED BY THE SELLER IN HIS OWN AD ----- PLEASE LOOK AT THE TIME STAMPS IN THE AD ----------- HE EDITED HIS AD AND LEFT ME TO THINK THE KNIFE WAS MINE --------------- MANY HOURS / DAYS later , then he gets in touch

He CHANGED HIS AD AFTER I said " I WILL BUY IT " ------ THAT IS WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE SAID ----- SORRY , IT IS ALREADY SOLD !!!!!!!

NOT THE NEXT DAY OR DAY AFTER THAT.

AS Mr. BEN Stated ----- HIS KNIFE and he can sell to who he wants.

THIS IS the feedback section --- AND HERE is where I have left Negitive Feedback FOR Him.

He LOVED me when he thought I would still buy the higher priced knife.

When I said " NO " and I DID TELL HIM that I was planning on VOICEING MY DISPLEASURE HERE ------ He became displeased with me ---- is that UNDERSTANDABLE ?? ------- SURE IT IS.

WHat I find NOT UNDERSTANDABLE is how I was ignored and treated.

ERIC the SELLER ----- did you or did YOU NOT ---- send me a email stateing
" SORRY __ I SOLD THE BM40T ---- The FIRST GUY that I sold it to BACKED OUT ---- SO I then made a deal and sold it to SOMEONE ELSE ----

ERIC ---- CAN I POST YOUR EMAIL WITH THE ABOVE QUOTE FROM YOU ???
