Knife Fails!

Here's one; any knife with a 440c blade that costs over 50 bucks. i cringe when i see a 100-250 dollar knife with a 440 on its specs. whats worse is i think i've been seeing some $6-700 Randalls made of 440.. i hope i'm wrong.

Yes, you are

Wether or not a knife is marked Idaho, Texas, South Dakota or Arkansas wouldn't mean much in regards to the potential usefullness of that knife. To me, that is:)
Then again, as a Norwegian I should probably listen carefully when the son of Odin hisself speaks....

I am thinking Odin's son was playing with Odins spear, Gungnir , and probably dinged the edge and is trying to get Dad off his back by bringing up other folks failures.
Having a God as a Dad does have it's drawbacks.

Being made in Idaho has nothing to do with the quality.

Have you ever held a Chris Reeve knife? Like a Sebenza?

When you open those thngs, it feels like angels are coming down from heaven and softly touching your hands to let you know the knife is fully open and the lock has engaged.

Dumbed down, they're very smooth and just radiate quality.

There was quite a debate in the CRK forum concerning the Made In Idaho stamp. Quite a few CRK fans spoke negatively about the logo. You can still love the knife even if you hate the Idaho stamp.

jimping on flippers and liners on liner locks or the frame on frame locks....i totally understand the idea behind it, but if you like to play with your knife or actually need to use it often, they totally chew your fingers up...speaking from experience....when you do QC on 500 knives, your fingers are hurting, lol....also pretty sure the OP was just teasing about the idaho thing...although i may just be siding with him because of the name....

I think the largest, most epic fail in the history of knife fail-dom, hands down, is the Boker Plus Automat Kalashnikov 101.

Seriously, what kind of ninja knucklehead would even touch that piece of junk with a 10 foot pole, let alone buy it! Gak! :barf:

I wasn't trying to "stir the pot" or give anybody a panic attack.

I wasn't trying to say anything about the quality about Idaho, just saying it was a fail to stamp that.

Forget it.

Dude, best way I have EVER heard a Sebenza described and extremely accurate!

Don't worry about it. I've already learned that some around here take themselves way too seriously.

The only fails I've ever had were completely my fault. Throwing folders at trees when I was a kid wasn't exactly a design flaw.

I'm rather surprised this epic fail of a thread hasn't been locked. Personally, the CRKT M16 series has more fail than a BP gulf coast oil rig.
