Knife guessing game ( based on description ) now guessing fixed blades

You got it, not sure if there's any others like that, but seemed pretty unique to me. You're up Will

Ok, time difference in Europe explains the lag.:eek:

I'll try not to be too cryptic..(but it's fun :D )

A 4.5" 2 blade Schatt that an oilman might go for.....:cool:

Good one, Will! :thumbup::cool:
I got it, but I had to get Google to verify my "hunch". :rolleyes:

GT I'm off to bed as it's near 2am here.....

What do you say? I'm sure it's correct so carry on:D

OK, I think Will's latest puzzler describes the S&M Wildcat Driller. Did I win? :D

For my "turn", I hope it's acceptable that I bend the rules a little bit, just for a change of pace. I'm going to post a couple of pictures of a knife, rather than describe a knife (but a picture is worth a thousand words, right, so my photos are simply detailed descriptions). If you want to participate, you have to identify the knife, as usual (and probably fairly easy), but also identify what's wrong or unusual or weird or nonstandard about the particular knife that I purchased recently and am showing here.

What's the knife, and why is this one I received "special"?

- GT

It's a Schrade Canoe without a shield.

Well, that didn't take long! :p :cool:
It is indeed a Taylor-Schrade Old Timer Canoe that showed up without the standard Old Timer shield for some reason.
Do you think it's rare enough that it will fund my retirement? :confused::rolleyes:

You're up, redsparrow! :thumbup:

- GT

GT, a Schrade that rare may not allow for early retirement but should be like money in the bank. :D

Next is one that punches above it's weight being able to saw thru a tree or even puncture metal.

Thanks redsparrow, for offering up what is likely to be my only get. I think it must be due to my having used it a lot lately.

Ok,..... If you're a free thinker, maybe a lone wolf, who maybe even drives a '76 Firebird, then this knife is for you.

Man, I'm totally clueless on that one, Maple Tree! :confused:
I LIKE it! ;):thumbup::D

- GT

Well, Burt and Sally drove a '76 Firebird in the flicks with Jackie Gleason ... don't recall them using more than a butter knife tho.

hmm...thinking it'd probably be like shootin' fish in a barrel for the many of our fine aficionados here on the porch, I threw in the Firebird as a wee twist. Maybe too twisty.....ok, we'll wait for one more guess, then I'll add another clue if needed.
