- Knife Hunter calls. We have a pleasant call. I explain that the tip is messed up, it looks like it has been dropped and the last inch of the knife is boogered up a little. I explain that I have taken pictures and that the packaging is good, and it wasn't done in shipping. Knife Hunter offers a refund. I explain I want the RUCK and if it didn't require a regrind I would let it slide. However, since it does require a regrind, I just think a little adjustment in is order. Knife Hunter asks me to send the pics.

I am sorry, but sending a guy $900 and not getting what was advertised and then having him go dark tends to get people worked up a little.
The inside wrapping had a minor cut in it, 1/8". Nothing that left the paper or outside tube though.
You refund the money and I send the RUCK back after. I sent you funds in good faith, you will have to do the same. I will get it repacked and ready. I look forward to the paypal by days end.

I was being nice to offer to pay shipping both ways. THis is not a store.... there was no return policy.

I didnt go dark my friend. Her is the email from blade forums and if your were paying attention to what your doing and your pms sent...... you would have noticed that it said clearly when your tried to send that.......... my inbox was full .

Tuesday, 02-24-2009, 17:18 PM - Knife Hunter and I speak on the phone. It didn't go well, no real yelling or anything, but still not good. He said send the knife back and he will refund. Told me not to F#*@ it up or be vindictive, etc. I told him there was no way I was sending it back until I got my money back. I even suggested a third party as a mediator. I give the third party the knife, he sends me my money and the knife gets sent back. No go, he eventually hangs up on me.

My points:

The RUCK was advertised as:
a slightly used RUck, the edges are in great shape and have never been sharpened
The RUCK didn't arrive as advertised. This was witnessed and documented.
I wanted to work something out, but 4 days go buy with multiple posts on the forums by Knife Hunter (feel free to check) and no response to me. A "Give me a day or two would have gone along way here)
Regardless of if he got the Monday PM, he did get the email, just chose not to deal with it
I was getting nervous/frustrated that I sent a good chunk of money and was getting ignored/screwed.
I express this, now I am aggressive and he is not giving my money back and/or if he does I need to send the RUCK back first. Won't have it any other way.

I bought the knife, sent the funds and received the knife later. He offered to buy it back and won't play by the same rules. He won't even use a third party to ensure anybody but his best interests.

I am frustrated and disappointed.

I have had a very simular Experiance with him also very unprofessional and he LIED TO ME AND SWITCHED SHEATHS ON ME in further PMS he also used some of the BS he used on you after i was very angry this what he said to get me HOT " your just like a woman stop your bitchin" would love to hear you say that to my face!!! ,i was promised through pms a OKUDEN sheath with a SHBA+ cash to make up value. I recieved a EAGLE SHEATH that is not for a SHBA after the knife was shipped which was not the day he promised!!!!, i recieved another PM saying he had sent the lesser sheath because he thought i would want it LOL,now he claims he never had a OKUDEN sheath!!!. I sent him a dead drop mint SHBM 1/300 with a Incredible factory Kydex drop leg sheath .We have also talked on the phone and all went well and i gave him a free education about KNIFE Collecting but that was before i recieved the SHBA with the WRONG SHEATH, he also did not disclose the SHBA had the coating stripped off the spine and belly!!!! look like SH_t. He is not to be trusted at all!!!! Recieved a phone call yesterday i wasnt home said he now after a whole week he now wants to make good on the DEAL!!!!!!! and will send the correct sheath, I have also Blocked him completely at the ADVICE of some OLD HOGS. At least TWO OLD HOGS HAVE confirmed he is trouble at least thats what they have heard. Enough is a Enough this needs to stop:eek: Trevor,send my 1/300 SHBM BACK with the Sheath that was sent with it. When i recieve it you will be refunded in full + but not until I recieve mine back!!!! ,your SHBA w/the wrong. Eagle sheath. Unblocking you so you may see this. Yeah let's leave this out of other forums! It only gets nasty and out of hand.

I deal with KH all the time and consider him a friend. You guys must me dealing with him when he is sober, I always call after 8. He just gives me stuff, lol.

What can I say to that! Lol. Sorry. you have been here longer, and had 100 time more experience here in the Good Bad and Ugly than I have. I think I remember trying to help you before. I'm out of this one. Yeah I'm pretty sure that was me, who made a personal call, to a friend with a piece of a bomb migrating out of his leg, that was in a hospital bed, to get you your damn money.. Todd you were offerred a refund when we initially spoke on Saturday.

I then even offerred a full return of shipping as well....You wanted nothing to do with any refund from the start.

You not only denied it but demanded the following:

THat is not reasonable. I cant think of one knife maker that would do this ....come to think of it.....I can't think of anyone or any business that would send you
$900 prior to receiving the merchandise back....period.

I will agree that it seems that everything you stated is mostly accurate until further review except for the following:

THe part about a third party was my suggestion. I told you to have your friend that spoke on your behalf and said you were a good guy, Dave Brown, send me knife after pics where taken to cover your end and that if they matched up with mine that were shown in the listing prior to sending.....that I would refund the original $900 and the return shipping...............thats when you said you would take it too the forums and that you werent sending me anything prior to receiving a refund.

I said that I thought that was a good idea because I wanted to do a poll on ........

Who thinks I should you your money back prior to receiving my knife back?

I personally see no problem in sending the refund before the knife is returned. Banditti has in no way given any reason to think that he would not send the knife back once he got the money.

Also, the refund should have nothing to do with whether the current condition of the knife matches the condition it was in when it was shipped. It is not the receiver's responsibility to deal with damages that happen in shipping. The shipper is the one that bought the insurance and is the one that has to deal with the shipping company to get any compensation for the damage done to the knife. The only thing that should need to be done is that Dave Brown confirm that when the package was opened, the damage was observed by him.

I think its best that we open our own thread. I went way overboard trying to make you happy. Even, after I sent you a $150 knife for your Rachel sale.....remember.

If you would like to read more on DOL let me suggest the GBU......She how DOL tried to sell an original Ak out from under a wounded veteran that had placed a deposit of $1100 on a $1400 purchase with DOL.....when said veteran was in the hospital having surgery. It was Gravel Face if you have trouble finding it.


Or look up how many suspect he scammed folks here on the forum in a Rachel sales thread where he actually told one nice formuite that had put a knife up for his cousins benefit....that he would take the knife offerred. Just send it to Me(DOL) and I will make sure the money gets put in the kitty:eek:

I have been told that he made a large purchase afterwards on some old Straight handled Busse's w few weeks later.

I would avoid them both like the plague:mad:
 
Knife Hunter, did you send the knife to DOL with the wrong sheath and with the coating stripped off the spine and belly, or is that not the case?

You and I have had a good deal in the past. Please slow down a little here. I have to agree with Keith Montgomery. Send the OP his $ back and let him see that it is there so he can return the Ruck. It looks like he is up in Phoenix and I am in Tucson. Heck, if it makes everyone happy, I will go get it on my dime and send it off to you when he has verified receipt of funds. I do not think his request is unreasonable.

We can sit around and have a pissing contest until the fat lady sings--nobody disputes that. But really, this situation with the OP is no big deal. Let's get it resolved amicably.

And DOL, please start your own thread re KH. Input regarding your situation in this thread will only muddy the waters here.

I have a big problem with it.


Dave Brown is the one who sent Banditti( what this stand for...Bandit??) to me in the first place and vouched for him. Saying he was a good guy.


After further research I am finding troubling occurrences with associates of Dave Brown.........


I did a trade with Rover, whom I come to find out is best friends with, you guessed it, Dave Brown.

Long and short of this deal was that Rover traded me a FN 5.7 X 28 which included a Holster from Dave Brown and was to include three -four boxes of 5.7 x 28mm ammo.

I sent him two Busses worth over $1000, I think a MO $150, and threw in a Rigid knife as a bonus. Rover never sent me the bullets which are easliy worth a $100-$200 total since there were various boxes of bullett types of 5.7 x28. I will have to check ffl transfer to insure date but this occurred before I was temporarily banned in December 2008.

I sent Rover Four request and reminders saying hey I guess youve been busy like me, but I still havent gottten the shells.

He first response was I saw you got banned. Like WTF!...I didnt die!
You still owe me the shells. Then I sent three more reminders never once calling him out or being ugly. Finally, sometime just prior to Dave sending his other buddy, Banditti, to my door step. I didnt go looking for them.

Dave knew what occurred with Rover, he then, set me up with Baditti.

He vouched for Banditti. He then tried to convince me to send Bandittis money back to him witouth me having the Ruck.


Then, when I mentioned Dave be the go between and that I would send the refund if the pics matched mine and Banditti again said no.

Thank goodness I spoke to another friend on the forums about this last night and was notified of Dave Browns association with both Rover and Banditti.

Also, I am downloading pics that Banditti sent me and I am going to post the pics of the Ruck before it was sent out so that folks can see for themsleves..

You are not a knife maker. Simply, I bought the knife from you and sent you the money first and you sent me the knife. You are buying it back from me, send me the money first.

That is just not true. My idea, and you would NOT send the funds until you receive the knife. You have 3 kids and a family and it would screw you and you don't know me and I don't have much feedback, etc, etc, etc, etc.

I throw this out again. The RUCK is still sitting at that 3rd party's house, where it has been since I opened it. Send me the funds and he will certify that I haven't F#^& it up as you put it and it will get back to you.

Again, I bought the knife from you and sent you the money first and you sent me the knife. You are buying it back from me, send me the money first.

Send me the refund, including PP fees, whatever you paid for shipping (as you have stated you would) and the knife which is at a trusted HOG/forum members home will get back to you, as I received it.
 
BTW - take the 3rd party's name out of this will you. Don't drag him in unless he wants to voluntarily. You know he is well known and trusted HOG/forum member, that is all that is necessary to state isn't it?

So take it to a vote unless it doesn't come out your way? Really? It is everyone's fault but yours, in all cases is that what you are really saying here? I have been professional and factual. You just seem to be throwing people under the bus. Not cool.
 
I just received a threatening phone call from De Oppresso Libre at 10:13 am.

I told him to leave it on the forums and that if he ever contacted me by phone or my house again that I would notify the authorites.

I will post a new thread shortly on DOL with copies of his mood swings, and passive-aggressive behavoir.

It's amazing. First off people, nobody gives a refund unless they have their item back. Why should knifehunter give a refund before he has his ruck back?

Seems he used the same tactics with banditti also:thumbdn:
I just received a threatening phone call from De Oppresso Libre at 10:13 am. Most people do get very angry when someone RIPS them off!!! .Itold him to leave it on the forums and that if he ever contacted me by phone or my house again that I would notify the authorites.

I will post a new thread shortly on DOL with copies of his mood swings, and passive-aggressive behavoir.
