NIB? I knew the photo was not to date ( but maybe the camera is just not updated ), but I trusted it's NIB. The blade received was dull, rusty, dirty as heck, and has plenty of horizontal blade play. Seriously? NIB? Absolutely unacceptable!

I'm going to give the seller a chance to explain it before I post anymore. But if he doesn't I will post photos.

Have you contacted the seller and asked for a refund?

If so, were you denied a refund?

But it does say "bought new last year, never used" so that would lead me to believe very good condition with possibly a little storage wear from moving around the box. Over all LNIB

I thought the OP bought the ZT0200 which is described in the ad as:

"ZT200ST NIB Solid lockup. No blade play SOLD Shipped insured"

?

Shouldn't the OP take this up with the seller and get a unsatisfactory response before posting here with a www complaint?

That is usually the way it's supposed to go. Instead of dropping a huge turd in the sales thread, requiring a mod to intervene. The guy is lucky he didn't get an infraction to boot for failure to read the rules.

The first thing you should have done is contact the seller. You don't interfere with a person's sales thread. If the knife is not as described you need to let the person that sold it know as soon as you can. You could have easily emailed and made an effort to resolve the issue privately.
How about you post a few pictures of the knife, since you chose to go this route, that shouldn't be too much to ask right?

You simply need to give a seller a chance before possible slander. I know if someone was not happy with a knife that I sent I would have absolutely no problem with a refund/discount/return/whatever the hell it took to make us happy. I sure as the heck would not jump someones butt on the forum without working with them.

^^^ This. I know who not to sell to in case I ever make a mistake in my descriptions.

Seriously?

You guys talkin about giving the seller a chance are nuts.

I read that ad previously and also would have assumed the knife was "LNIB" or at least hardly used. If he puts up such an ad, and then sends a knife in the condition the OP described, he is being dishonest plain and simple!

Offering a refund after the fact does not make this right!

The damage has been done and the OP was severely disappointed with a purchase from this seller! Thats really all that matters IMHO.

No offense...but new member with 4 posts having not posted any proof does not win any sympathy from me...

I jump the gun, decide to withdraw and deal with the seller, and now I'm the bad guy, for buying a knife someone couldn't take 2 seconds to look at before tossing it up for sale clearly not as described. I know where to not buy knifes from again, bladeforums where you need a Masters Degree to figure out if a blades new in box! before you decide to go all the way through with selling it.

So everyone just take a pill.

@ Lucky. I am NOT looking for sympathy, I'm looking out for others.

Looks like everyone just wants a song and a dance on this forum........ geee wizz.

I did see on the sellers listing; ZT200ST NIB Solid lockup. No blade play SOLD Shipped insured. This was sold to the OP. The pictures show scratched, or missing anodizing. I'm not trying to take sides, but am simply stating the facts. The mods are right though. Try to question why it was posted NIB to the seller, and get a refund. There might be a good explanation, might not. We just don't know.

That smudge on the blade came right off, the rust is ravaging the liners very bad. The point and belly of the blade have undergone a good bid of use, and the lock up although great vertically is horrid horizontally unless I tighten the pivot nut till the point I can't get the knife to open unless I grasp it with 5 fingers and muscle it out.

I just feel screwed, and jumped the gun. No need to boil my chestnuts, especially questioning me over having few posts. That has nothing to do with me being a gamble, and a dishonest person.
