Knife not as described (Refund Issued)

Have you contacted the seller about a return yet?

I thought the OP bought the ZT0200 which is described in the ad as:

"ZT200ST NIB Solid lockup. No blade play SOLD Shipped insured"

?

Not sure about "ad." The link is to a thread in which the seller says (at least at this point):
ZT200ST NIB Solid lockup. No blade play.

I would not read that as "NIB" or "LNIB." I would be unhappy if there was undisclosed damage or significant blade play or sloppy lockup.

You guys are hilarious.

What does the OP have to prove to you?

He put out a warning take it or leave it.

That smudge on the blade came right off, the rust is ravaging the liners very bad. The point and belly of the blade have undergone a good bid of use, and the lock up although great vertically is horrid horizontally unless I tighten the pivot nut till the point I can't get the knife to open unless I grasp it with 5 fingers and muscle it out.

I just feel screwed, and jumped the gun. No need to boil my chestnuts, especially questioning me over having few posts. That has nothing to do with me being a gamble, and a dishonest person.

Don't worry about the haters.

This is not the only forum I am on, and this happens all the time.

Wait till you have a bad experience with a known dealer, and watch them all call you a liar, and a troll, because there is no way their favourite dealer could have screwed up.

Just ignore it. You were upset, and reasonably so. This is not small claims court, or Judge Judy! Nobody can conclusively prove much of anything over the internet, on a forum.

Enough posts from people either not involved or nothing helpful to add.

Why not lock this thing until we find out if the OP at least contacted the seller?

Wow. I never thought I would end up here. Let me start by saying I bought this knife a year and a half or maybe 2 years ago as NIB. It has sat in my desk draw ever since. I did not go over it with a fine tooth comb. I did not check the liner or inside the knife. As far as blade play goes I'm surprised at this. There was non the last time I checked. I'm not out to screw people out of their hard earned money. I was going to issue the OP refund before I responded here but there seems to be a problem opening PP. I have tried three browsers to no avail. I will issue a refund just as soon as I can get PP open for me. I did send the OP a PM requesting he send the knife back and I would give him a refund but I am going to recant that and just say keep the terrible, beat up good for nothing useless rusty POS knife for your troubles. In closing I would like to say thanks OP for starting this thread and exposing me for the A-Hole I really am.
THANKS
Doug

PS: I hope the sale of the Bob Lum goes better.

I've been having troubles with pp too, so it seems to be on their end. You're a better person than I'd be right now, kudos to you.

I'm sending the knife back, and never stated you're an "a-hole" just that you and anyone should check their goods before selling them to someone else under a false tag.

I did jump the gun and realize it, I did respond to all the bull crap postings because I coudn't help myself.

In the end I'm sorry for not contacting you first, but you really should have checked the knife before! selling it, not after the customer realizes it for you.

So expect the knife back whenever it arrives, and lets stop all the drama.

Better luck next time, burry the hatchet and stop the crap.

For those wondering, I did contact him, as stated in my second post. But with everyone jumping on my back and riding my ass I had to post further.

rycen if you would, please lock this.

Thanks mlehto, for understanding.

Lets not lock this. You will get a refund just as soon as paypal works. I will send you the 90 dollars plus $5.10 for the cost of returning the knife USPS small box flat rate. I will take pictures when the knife is returned and post them here.

i have received a knife not as described before. and every time i have quietly contacted the seller to resolve it politely.... and i got my money back every single time. let this be a lesson to you hadji413, knee jerk reaction is not the way to go. God forbid if anyone else misrepresents a knife in the slightest..... no one is perfect.

Paypal is up and working. OP has been reimbursed $95.10. $90.00 dollars for the knife and $5.10 for return shipping.

Hey brother, don't think people are boiling your chestnuts for looking out for other buyers here.....in fact that is applauded at the highest level as we do a great job of policing out the scammers/liers within our own ranks with just such attention. However, I think other members are trying to remind you how to go about a proper dispute with a buyer/seller. The success of this forum is based on everyone following the rules......I may not be the most senior member around her, but I can't think of a better place to buy or sell a knife. I just purchased a knife yesterday and stupidly OVERPAID for it....seller clearly listed the amount but I failed to send the correct sum. This seller immediately contacted me, explained my error and immediately returned the overpaid amount to me.....within minutes of the original purchase!! Please tell me where else that happens in today's world?? Nobody is perfect so give the forum and it's members a chance and I think you'll find a family here unlike any other.....

I've clearly stated that I goofed since the 2nd post on, so patting me on the back and being sarcastic is pretty degrading at this point. This should've been locked earlier before everyone went ape over it and decided I should be crucified for my mistake on laying this out the wrong way. What do you want me to make a video speech apologizing? Like you guys say everyone screws up, so in this case the seller and the buyer did.

Just cool your jets and read all the posts before writing out your life stories and decisions and go about.

It's not as if I took a hack at him, all I did is state the condition of the item vs what was described. Give it a rest.

Why don't you acknowledge you received a full refund and are returning my knife.
Just because there was some dirt and surface rust on the liner that could be only seen when the knife was disassembled does not mean it is not new and unused, which it was. If the blade seems dull to you I can't help that. It's how it came. It did not get dull from use. The knife seemed plenty sharp to me.

Can we see some pics here? After all this I am curious to see what the hoopla is all about.

Doesnt look too bad to me, perhaps he decided he didn't want it and was looking for an excuse to send it back...I have opened brand new clamshell packaged knives from retail stores that have had surface rust from humidty etc. Thats what steel wool or never dull is for.
