Knifeart.com experience

Great point Spartan. I have found the supporting dealers here, USAmade blade gave me perfect service during their renovation of there new location, GP....Tyler will stay on the phone with you till you are taken care of, KSF same way, Top Quality is awesome too.
Great experiences with all of them and it makes a HUGE difference when deciding to return for future purchases.

Concerning my previous posts about a negative experience I'd like to say I've been in contact with Larry and he's been genial and not to mention bending over backwards to make things right.

I'd rescind my previous statement about never ordering from them again.

Knifeart has been an absolute roll model IMO as to what other businesses should transpire to emulate. Knifeart has made personal long distant phone calls to make sure I was pleased with my orders ect. They have truly made me feel like a valued customer. When looking for a product there site is first on my list to check. Ive heard from another bladeforums guy that they went through all the stock they had on hand just to try and find a particular grain pattern/ direction of micarta handle on a knife for him......Anyways Ive heard nothing but good about them.

I have ordered many knives over the years starting from way back in the late 90's. I've ordered from pretty much every knife website - Blade HQ, KifeCenter, BladeOps, Collectors Knives, GPKnives, Bento Box, Knife Works, CutleryShoppe, true North Knives, Monkey edge, Knife Art ect.... I have had at least one issue with most of them, for example I wrote in the comment box at the check out screen when buying from BladeHQ and KnifeCenter asking them to please check the knife your sending me and make sure blade centering is perfect and that there's not other QC issues on the knife before shipping it out to me. Then the knife I order from both BladeHQ and KnifeCenter come with terrible blade centering and other issues. It's called law of averages when a company is dealing with so many customer orders every once and a while there's going to be issues, also it's the fact that almost every company has at least 30% of their work force that's either lazy or does not care. But the one thing I hate most of all is what KnifeArt.com is doing, which is misrepresenting some of there knives that they sell on there website. What I mean is that when I recently bought a KnifeArt.com exclusive small Chris Reeve Sebenza 21 with carbon fiber scale and insingo blade for$395.00. KnifeArt.com just listed "carbon fiber" with out saying the weave/pattern of the carbon fiber. The photo of the Sebenza I ordered showed a tight checker board like pattern, but when I got the knife in the mail it came with a diagonal/criss-cross pattern that was completely different than whats pictured on their website. Other websites like MonkeyEdge for example list in the description of their knives the carbon fiber weave/pattern, so you know exactly the knife your getting. I think that KnifeArt.com just posted a random photo of a carbon fiber small insingo sebenza for their website and then just grabbed a random sebenza off of the shelf and shipped it to me. I've heard this going on a lot with the carbon fiber exclusive sebenza their selling!!! KnifeArt.com needs to let their customers know if the carbon fiber weave/pattern is going to be randomly selected for them or if their going to be actually getting the knife as pictured on their site!!!!

Well I did buy my first Sebenza from them two years ago, a Carbon fiber Damascus 21. I'd probably look there again for my next Sebenza. That is the only order I have done with KnifeArt, the shipping was fast, no problems.

I had asked knifeart some questions a few years back on a custom knife they had. I did not receive a reply. This was a $1200 custom.

Ended up passing on it, figured if they wouldnt respond to questions presale, post sale would be much worse.
A acquaintance of mine has ordered a lot from Knife art, particularly Chris Reeve without issues, even had couple exchanged.

I have purchased two knives from them. I had no issues. Though, there was no communication involved. The three times I did contact them about other items, I either got no response or they simply failed to answer my question. The first time, I got no response and left it. The second, again no response so I followed up with it. The response I got a few days later didn't even address the question. Again, left it. The third time the response was 5 days later and rather dismissive. Fortunately I don't need them so won't be giving them anymore business.

I had a similar experience regarding their responsiveness (or lack there of). Sent a couple inquiries and never received a response. There are more fish in the sea.
