I'll have to keep my ears open for the next one. I'm out backpacking the 21st & 22nd, or I'd definitely be there. Your only about an hour and a half away from me. This sounds like a great opportunity.

Can't wait to see everyone's knives.

Hmm - only 32 hrs, 34 minutes (32 hours and 41 minutes in current traffic). I may just have to mark my calendar for the next one!

It's a cool opportunity you're offering John, and it will be fun to see how everyone's knives turn out.

I'm in for this any weekend except May 7/8.................... Mother's Day would take precedence.

Sorry, it's all full now. I don't want to overbook so we don't have enough time to get everything done. I'm hoping to do another in September.

This is the plan:

Saturday

Trace pattern on to steel
Profile out blade
Drill pin holes
Scandi grind blade
Heat treat

Sunday

Finish grind bevel
Drill pin holes in handle and cut out handles
Glue on handles
Rough grind handles
Finish hand sanding handles

Remember to bring glasses, dust mask, and a cardboard pattern of your knife (no larger than 1" tall and 8" long). This will be a scandi style knife so figure on that when you make the pattern.

I will need to know your handle material by May 1st.

Payment of $150 per person is required by May 1st.

The workshop will begin at 8am each day.
