KnifeWorks Ti/G10 Spyderco Military-Depositors sound off!

Paid my deposit last night. I'm buying it strictly for the blade steel, which is the only part of the knife that appeals to me. I dislike metal handles in general, I really dislike having the lockbar exposed under my fingers and as far as I'm concerned, the only thing worse than a metal handled framelock is a mixed materials framelock. But this may be my only chance at a Military in CPM M4, and I want to keep my Millie steel collection complete.

Paid my deposit and I'm super stoked for this one. Quite possibly the only knife I'll purchase this year.:D

Nope sorry. Roger said that it is a hidden link and not to send people links to it.

You have to wait for an email from knifeworks.

hahahaha, I wouldnt say that it's hidden. I havent gotten the email but it took me all of 2 minutes to find the deposit page. Oh well, Im not in it to cheat anyone of their spot, and if I dont get an email I obviously wont put an order in. I saw the price, and Im willing to bet secondary market markup will be 100%.

These are sold out, so if you place the deposit order and you are not on our list or you have not made the list, the order will be canceled.

so if you're clever like me but arent willing to wait your turn, dont even bother.

before you ask: no I did not ask anyone for the link, and no I will not send it to you

Really? The M4 version of the 710 has not done anything close to that, IIRC. I may be mis-remembering the original KW price, though, and BM M4 knives are much more common that Spyderco M4.

this is a short term prediction. mostly the people that either didnt know they existed or didnt get on the list will want one badly. if these dont break 450 I will be VERY surprised. the AFCKs with m4 went for big money at first, I think these will too. over time, the price will return to sane levels, maybe.

also, in talking with Roger, I got the impression that there arent going to be a ton of these, certainly not 500.

I'm in, and they also mentioned that the Spyderco Collectors group who receive "variant models" will be getting these too; so that should cut into the 500 a little bit.

That depends on how it was contracted. If Knifeworks contracted for 500, they should get 500, and extras will be made for the All Variant collectors. Since the club was revamped, I doubt there are more than a hundred of those, and probably less.
