KnifeWorks Ti/G10 Spyderco Military-Depositors sound off!

When the AFCK 806 came out in M4, it bumped a Military CF BG-42 to become my EDC. It's almost a perfect knife with the axis lock. The blade falls open and locks into place by pulling back the lock. No thumb flick needed. It closes by gravity, too.

I'm not a fan of the framelock/RIL or metal handles, but the idea of a flat ground Military in M4 steel is exciting. The new Military should excel at cutting. Might be an interesting showdown for EDC honors.

I must be misunderstanding this. Do you mean that all 500 people on Roger's original list will not get a knife? Why wouldn't they (if that's what you mean)? If he and Spyderco signed a contract to produce and sell 500 knives, why would anything change?

I'm freaked out enough already as my deposit wouldn't go through and I'm waiting to hear back from Roger... now this!
 
deposit is in. To be honest, I'm not HUGEly excited for it. I'm very excited for an m4, millie. The Ti/Ril part doesn't have me super excited. I know I'll love it as soon as it's in hand, though. Just not my first choice of handle materials.
 
I put my name on the list pretty early in, have not gotten request for deposit... sure hope nothing got lost!? man I want this blade..
 
I count 32 so far. That is not a bad showing for bladeforums but I know there are more out there.

Shifting the topic a bit; how do you guys think the release of the Ti framelock military will affect the exclusivity/price of the Ti/G10 version? Discuss...
 
After the site upgrade issues, my deposit is in. July is even better for my budget.

Make that 33. I put my deposit down yesterday. I didn't get my e-mail invite until a day after this thread started so I'm guessing Roger isn't done sending out all the invites. Just hang in there if you were on the list and you haven't heard anything. As for my level of excitement, well, it's so far from being ready that I'm not that excited yet. However, if some pics leak then that might change. I still don't know what it's going to look like. I'm fine with the wait as long as they get it just right. :D

I put down my deposit. I haven't decided if this one will be a user or a collector but either way I'm excited to be getting one...
 
If I don't absolutely love it right away,it's going in my safe for a few years.;)

If I do like it,it'll get used just like the rest of my knives.:)

I'm really starting to want this knife now.

I was OK for a couple months, but I really hope they ship soon.

I'm pretty sure this will become my #1 EDC.
