Knifezilla

I didn't say I thought the guy was trying to rip me off. Actually I'm not really worried about not receiving my item because of the positive feedback other people have given about Knifezilla. What I implied is that the service is not up to par. Which is fact based on my experience so far.

I think it's irresponsible for a business to advertise something on their site, then fail to produce, then ignore any inquiries about it thus leaving the customer in the dark as to when they will receive their order. I've been waiting 2 weeks so far, still no answer to email inquiries.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure I will receive my order. It's just a matter of when.
My comments were directed to Purplehaze, he really is saying that Knifezilla is trying to rip him off.
Why won't you guys get on the phone and call Knifezilla? Obviously, Josh is having problems answering all of his emails right now. Give up on that and call him. If your in the dark, it's by your own choice.

Well put.

Especially when shippping a balisong to Canada, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. It's not right to just jump to the conclusion that Knifezilla (who has no reputation for ripping people off) is ripping you off. Get the facts first.

Josh has my total support, plain and simple.

One does not stay in this business as long as he has by doing people wrong...besides that he's gutsier than most! :D

PVK can be slow, they also have a history of not responding to e-mail. However I do recall a prior thread where the buyer sent e-mail after e-mail. The buyer finally called and was happy in the end. I also remember a member (from the UK I think) that had a custom automatic seized and received a refund, on a knife that was some what pricey.

I hope i get it cause i dont know what to do if i dont, does he ripp everyone off like this? i shouldnt be waiting for over a month for something to arrive. After i get my knife(if i do) he still isnt getting a good rating from me.

Ha.

Consider what you're asking of him.

Consider what he's doing for you.

Consider your alternatives or any of the competition that would do the same.

...

How dare he be late smuggling illegal weaponry to you across international boarders at retail prices, I know. The nerve. I mean, geez, he was fast for your friends, what's the deal!? Man, what a ripoff. You sure got suckered.

Are you this anal about getting your pot too Mr. PurpleHaze_Bong? Take another hit there if that's your thing, relax.

Be sure to include the full story in your review. Or maybe, not complain so much, do your research, and be okay with the lines being as blurred as they are.

Josh *will* get you your knife. Flip a coin whether he gets it to you as soon as his site promises, or whether he has difficulty doing so and you end up waiting. Read up a little on the business feedback in the GB&U, that's been entirely consistent for years now.

the way it seems, i wont get it at all. and why the **** u criticizing me because i smoke pot. stfu if u got nothing better to say.!

-Call him. Be polite and don't accuse him of ripping you off (he hasn't). Keep in mind that he runs PVK/Knifezilla by himself and probably has a personal life, too.

-If he says he sent it, and you don't have it yet, put the blame where it belongs. The mail service and/or customs. He can't stop things from getting lost in the mail, nor can be stop things from getting bounced around by customs. I know it is logical to assume the seller ripped you off when you don't get your item on time, but PVK/Knifezilla is known to be honest. The most logical explanation, given that information, is that the mail or customs is to blame.

I sent a friend in Malta (in Europe) some trading cards and it took 4 months to arrive. He was starting to think I ripped him off, as he sent me several hundred in cash to buy the cards for him (as they are much cheaper in the US and none of the US websites would ship to Malta). What really happened is that the cards went to the wrong country and sat in customs in each country along the way. When he finally got the cards, he apologized for doubting me, though I didn't blame him.

So feeling that you *might* have gotten ripped off is fine. But don't go accusing, and be aware that shipping across nation lines can take a long time due to red tape at customs and the higher possibility of mistakes.

And hey, maybe he just hasn't sent them yet. Haven't you ever told someone "yeah, I'll do it tomorrow" but forgot or were lazy? Yeah, that is not a good way to run a business, but being lazy and being a thief are different. Maybe Josh was a day or two late in shipping the knife out because he was busy, lazy, forgot, etc... and the package happened to get held up in customs. These small delays can add up. Just remember that while Josh should be expected to run his business in a professional manner, he probably does have a personal life, and things come up. It's not like he has a huge staff to do everything for him.

I've only ordered from him twice, but both times the knives came on time, and both times (since my orders were over 25 bucks) he threw in a freebie knife (just a junker, but a knife is a knife).

I think you can doubt Josh's professionalism (though I don't have a reason to- in my experience with him), but not his honesty.

I first off never really acused him of ripping me off, since im in canada and i realize that itll take time, but damn when i dont get an email back in like 15-20 days, thatll have anyone worried. haha if i did call him i wouldnt be like You Ripped me off u basterd.! obviously. I will not be ignorant if im asking about my delivey status, i will ask him what has to be done in order to get my knife, since emailing him wont do anything. I was really expecting better service with a more expensive item, but who am i to be saying hurry the hell up, since eveyones telling me im in canada. when i said does he ripp everyone off like this, i wasnt really trying to tell everyone he ripped me off. in other words i was asking has anyone had any problems like i have with the delivery.

I dont know what to say about them. Ive orderd a 150 dollar knife from them and have not recieved it yet. 14 Oct 2005 he told me that he will ship the knife the following monday 17 Oct 2005, and now its nov 27/05 and no knife  . has anyone else have this happen to them? now he isnt even answering my emails. help would be appreciated.
Your first post doesn't literally say "Knifezilla ripped me off" but it is implied.
You titled your thread "Knifezilla" But you didn't intend to praise Knifezilla. You started the thread to complain.
So far, 606 people have read your complaint. If you want to damage a dealers reputation, this is a pretty good way to do it.
Except that you didn't have all your facts straight. You havn't made much of an effort to figure out what was going on for yourself.
Your complaint means nothing. You are being a troll.

Understandable.

The word on PVK/Knifezilla is this:

They/he/Josh is sometimes late and inconsistant with shipping and answering email, but they/he/Josh is not a ripper and you will get your knife barring it being lost in the mail or seized by customs.

The third reply to this thread gave you the best option, (Call him up). Others have reassured you that Zilla is a legit site.

Josh there may not be 100% ethical with the selling off knockoffs, but hes a good businessman. I'd call him up. Also, doesn't he ship balis in a little plastic thing that makes it like a fixed blade?

I ordered a auto from Josh @ Knifezilla. Well after a bunch of emails and 2.5 months the item arrived. I personally think he was out of stock on that particular item and had to wait for it to arrive.

Bottom line, yes I got my knife (and more than a little BS from Josh).

Would I order from them again, NOT A CHANCE

Just my experience.

I can't believe this thread has gone on this long. Whoever started it must be a NooB that doesn't listen to the response of the older folks. PVK is widely known to take forever on their deliveries without so much as notifying you of any delay. That is why we don't shop there if we can avoid it. On top of that, shipments to Canada can take months before they arrive. Don't ask me why, but some arrive just fine after one or two months, while some take as little as a week. If you haven't gotten a note form customs, it probably hasn't been seized. Josh is hard to get a hold of, he rarely answers emails or the phone or messages left. He laso tends to deliver what he sells, just not in the usual timeframe.

You are already asking alot for an international shipment. Sit back, and wait. And next time look up our preferred vendors, the "for sale" forum, and auction sites to see if they will help you out first.

alright, I am not going to complain anymore. You guys are right im wrong w/e. as long as i get my knife ill be happy.pageopile the exact happend to me. I orderd the chrome militia auto from him but never got it, thats casue i moved so i understood that. But then josh was acusing me of using a fake adress and that i was trying to say that i moved or whatever and i was tying to scam him, which i was not at all and that i really did move. For that delivery i dont care about cause it was 30 buks. Ill wait till it arrives, cause u guys a pretty sure that i will get it.

In a 2 months timesframe, I've ordered 3 knives from Knifezilla and received them within 2 weeks, It's true that Josh can be slow on answering e-mails though, but I understand that he has alot to do...

btw, to whoever asked if Josh ships the balisongs in a plastic handle, nop he doesn't, though you can buy that plastic handle from his site ( I don't really see why you would do that.. hehe) but I can't tell you how he ships stuff internationally since that is against the forums policy.

Wrong thread. This thread is nothing more than a poorly organized, whiny smear campaign of some kid too lazy to solve his own problems... and should be dead by now (edit to add: The thread should be.. the thread.. whew).
