Against my own advise, I ordered a ringfighter clone from him and received it in about a week :)

OK Paladin2443, you asked for it :D ....
supply meets demand... :( your like a Dung Beatle keeping the schit ball rolling... Thanks for all the support scarab! :thumbdn: :jerkit:

Sympathy is not necessary. The Chinese are getting very good at cloning! :)

Yes it is Sir, I suppose this makes it OK? Please excuse me while I go :barf:

IMHO... wrong place to brag about your negative support of our fine custom bali-makers

IMHO anything that you order over the internet or through the mail has the chance of getting FU especially internationally because thats how mail works.

I have yet to order from Knifezilla but im not discouraged if the majority says its going to come its going to come you gotta have patience thats all.

Hey there,

I had this same problem with Josh no more than a few months ago, I orderd two balis, one of which turned up after 14 emails 3 months after payment was made. The other, even though i was assured it would turn up it never did. I simply wrote them off as a bad job... Its a good job it wasnt an expensive order. I apreciate that Josh is sending items worldwide and he is on his own but at the end of the day i paid for somthing I didnt receive.
It wasnt held at customs because i would “know about it” by now.

Sorry to hear about this :thumbdn:

A few years back, Josh located 3 swat tigers for me. He quoted me 2 weeks and I got 'em in 2 weeks.

No complaints here

Bill

I think there is your problem///Balisong
I have had customers request that Bali's sent to Canade be disassembled and shipped in two packages to stay legal.
Betcha it is sitting in customs!
If no phone number was listed on the Customs declaration...That may be it!

Braundc.............

Your post sounds like you REALLY hit the Kool Aid pretty hard before hitting the keyboard! Reversing your habit might result in a more comprehensive post. Example: Just exactly what was I bragging about.....sir?

The essence of my post was to share with other members the bargain price of a Guinn Ringfighter clone and also to give Josh some fair press since I've
been hard on him in the past. $27 is a possibility for me and some others while $525 is not. Surely you can understand that.

It appears that the following statement is necessary in your case......

I do not support Cheap Chinese Crap!

IMVHO Free would be a bargain, but any more than that would be hard to justify for a design so blatently stolen from Mr. Guinn.

OK then, just the :jerkit:'s who illegally import the crap.

May not constitute bragging, but respectfully Sir, I still stand behind my Dung Beatle statement. :p

...oh, and no hard feelings right? :)

You can stand behind it or stand in front of it or better still: SIT ON IT......it's all the same to me.......sir!

Yes there are hard feelings. Go flap your gums at someone else.....big mouth!

Buying a clone does support the people who make them. It puts money in their pockets and funds future ripoffs. I would never buy a clone. I consider them to be stolen merchandise. :thumbdn:

I really am sorry about the hard feelings, most people can debate with a little humor. sounds like you might need some other forums for awhile Mr.

exactly my point... Some people just don't get it...

That is not a ring fighter........

It is a knuckleduster.

In case anyone is wondering, I have not got a dime out of the "knuckleduster"
They are a sleazy bunch to deal with, all talk and no walk.
They have not even gave me a sample.

Wow, They even stole Korths handle style now. And called the knife M4. This is getting out of hand. I was always willing to accept that clones were going to happen. We also know what else JUST HAPPENS, and that's what most clones amount to.. However it's really getting old seeing every new design ripped off. I also was willing to cut a retailer some slack knowing that the CCC's/Clones must out sell the higher end items. However this is also getting old. From here on I refuse to deal with anybody selling any kind of clones.
I must Quote Master Jedi Yoda... Begun the clone wars have.

Let me be clear about the reason for my initial post.........

Terry Guinn's Ringfighter is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship....as are all his knives. I have admired the Ringfighter for some time.......knowing that I will never be able to afford it.

I bought the clone from Knifezilla because it's the closest I will ever come to owning the real thing. I posted my impression of it for the sake of others who may be in the same boat as I am. I have no idea how many cloned versions of this knife are on the market but the one Knifezilla is offering is at least a good quality copy......minus the aluminum latch.

I do not support CCC's. In fact, I try not to buy anything made in China (a very hard thing to do) because the trade imbalance is so great. I try to buy U.S. made products whenever possible.

I don't care if you buy cheap knives made in China(CCC's). I morally object to clone knives and the companies that produce them. I question the morals and judgement of the people who sell and buy them.

You say you can't afford a Ringfighter but you're are a grown man and if you put your mind to it, you could buy one. You choose not to.

If a crackhead offers to sell you a Rolex watch on the street for $50 would you buy it? I sure as hell wouldn't. If I wanted a Rolex bad enough, I'd save my money so that I could buy it legitimately. Because that's the right thing to do.

I think you made a immoral decision by buying that clone and if I were you I would keep it to myself.:thumbdn:
Instead you're telling everyone that it's decent quality and people that can't afford the $500+ should buy one. You shouldn't have one and they shouldn't have one either because you choose not to save your money for it :barf:

I really don't have a problem with CCCs, clones are fucking lame but what sucks is that they are the only CCCs that look like they can hold together for longer then a month... i guess it is just too easy to rip off designs then to just make a decent cheap bali that doesnt fall apart in a week...

Here is the answer.......

The Typhoon is built like a tank, takes 10 minutes to assemble and make a great EDC knife.
Plus it is a real joy to flip. Best $70 I ever spent. Who need all the CCC shit when the best quality and function is within reach for most knife nuts.

Re: the CCC Ring Fighter- give it time bud, it WILL fall apart. I've had a few CCC's and they are not worth the hassle or even the space at the bottom of my trash can.

Terry was robbed and those that buy this piece of crap are accessories after the fact.

Come on mobali apparently you have never been in a tough finacial spot.
its kinda hard to pay bills buy food while trying to save money for a knife. maybe paladin2443 is not as serious as a collector as yourself and doesnt want to spend that kind of money. i do agree with you to a point mobali you should try not to buy ripoffs you should support US products but sometimes its tough financially, you gotta at least try to be a devils advocate. thats me though

You agree that people "should try not to buy ripoffs." That is my whole point.
You acknowledge that it is morally wrong. I don't think there should be any "try" about it. It's wrong, don't do it or you are wrong.

I'm not making an issue out of buying "Made in the USA" products in this thread! Not because I don't care about it but because it doesn't matter where the clone knives are made.
Go ahead and buy a regular CCC if you are that broke. That's fine by me. Clone knives are the issue, the "ripoff" knives as you called them.

Let me throw this out here.

Is is wrong to buy a chinese copy of a Tachyon?
There will not be any more tachyons made. Microtech and Mike Turber have already received all the money they ever will get from these.
Mike Turber had originally planned to "rip off" his own design by having chinese companies make cheap versions of his knife, even though that kind of bit him in the a$$.

What about buying a Jaguar "classic"? Why shouldn't people just hunt down an original Benchmade 259? Is is OK to buy the ripoffs after the original is out of production?
