Had to get a new pair of work boots. Ended up with Double H as they’re composite toe, waterproof and have a good sole. Now begins the dreaded breaking in period. I like them to start out snug so they mold to my foot. That makes breaking in rough though. Anyway….. here’s the picture of my old, back in the day boot knife. Think I’ll break it out again.

Great looking boot,Terry! I’ve been eyeing a pair of Double H boots, that I DON’T need, for a couple of months now. It looks very similar to yours, but without the composite toe. The ones that I’m looking at are the “Jase”model. You’re not helping my cause!

I have to admit since I need them for work I get to put in for reimbursement of up to $200 every year for boots.

That’s a pretty sweet deal. I’m required to wear boots as well, at work, but no reimbursement. These will be for casual wear though. Thanks for the inadvertent nudge! I’m looking forward to getting them.

Wish I could legally carry a boot knife in Michigan. Some law against double, edge, dagger style knives.
I had a pair of Double H, with the ice sole. The leather never softened up. Hope your beak in like you want.

I've been wearing Carolina's / Double H boots for industrial construction work for decades.
I love 'em. Wear well, and the many of them are Union made in the US.

I had one pair that was a few years old that had issues and they stood behind it.
I won't buy anything else.

My feet do not do well with square toes. I need the rounded outer edge.
Unfortunately, it seems most manufacturers are getting away from round toe. Might have to break down and try on a pair of square toe boots.

Yeah, I wore them a bit so they didn’t have that fresh out of the box look, grocery shopping, post office, veterinarian, out to eat, etc.

Daughter gave me a Cabelas gift certificate and I got me a new pair of Boots with it. Been wearing the hell out of them on hikes. They’re awesome!

YES, Michigan has some sad knife rules, I just caught a FELONY for carrying a pocket knife they said had a 3 and 1/8 inch blade....blade length limit was told to me as 3 inches,fine and jail time to be announced in a week, Looks like 90 days and 2500.00... I'd sure like to fuck em!!!!

That blows. Sounds like Detroit law. Detroit and a couple other cities have 3" max blade length laws. Hope it is not that bad.
