Knives and Boots

Those are spectacular boots! Custom made to order I assume?
I actually ordered a pair of the same boot, except in black, off of the Bakers website, but the next day i noticed they had this dark brown in their close out section, and they happened to be in my size, which is a rarity to find in factory seconds(13.5D). So i ordered this much cheaper pair and cancelled my black pair. Same boot, but marked down quite a bit, and dark brown is close enough to black lol. And i didnt have to wait the 3 months for my pair to be made.

I've got 5 pairs of Nicks boots, but this is my first pair of the comparable Whites. They're a bit more purple in person.

Nice, look like the "original 350" - how are they out of the box?
350 cruiser for sure. They fit extremely well, gotta take em out for a bit but they feel about the same as all of my Nicks. Very clearly brown, but definitely have some red/purple tint in the right light. I needed a good dark boot for outside of work, as my normal boot is an ox blood bison from Nicks lol.

Awesome, they're on my list of boots to try, them and Nick's - I started with the Red Wing Iron Ranger, then bought some other "work boots", from several different brands, then tried JK (just ordered another pair today), but full leather, overbuilt boots, are just so good. How long is the break in for a boot like that, the 8" OT's from JK (in cow) took me several months of wear to feel good, less so in the buffalo versions I still have (maybe a week or two), the Iron Ranger's have been the worst/slowest break in my feet have had to deal with.

I went Walmart boots, to wolverines, to Iron Rangers, to Nicks, its quite a pipeline. Got tired of ruining work boots every few months and now i cant go back.

The Nicks i wear to work basically feel like slippers at this point, but i've had them for 2-3 years each(and they still look great). Normal break in period should be around 100-200 hours or a month/2 months maybe, but they never hurt as bad as the Iron Rangers did haha, and they're unbelievable after a while. Just gotta have a pair the first few days to swap out to halfway through to prevent blisters, but they're never given me too much trouble. And yeah Bison leather is a bit softer, and i never wore those to work, so they were basically a breeze to break in. Few hours here or there for going out shopping or to concerts.
