Knives for Kids at KnivesShipFree

Very cool thing to do! I would sign up for one for my daughter but I confess she already has a swiss army knife :)

Great idea! That is a good knife too. It has sturdy synthetic handle and lockback so they will use both hands to close it.
This is very generous. Thank you for doing this.
I would send my brother your way, but my nephew is only coming up on his 3rd birthday. So, he needs a few more years.;)

Thanks for all the kind words. We really are humbled by all the faithful customers we have and see this as a good way to give back to the knife community. Seriously, if we don't pass this love on to our kids, it won't take long until everyone out there thinks knives are dangerous weapons and forget they are extremely valuable tools.

Just so everyone knows....we are way over "sold" on our kids knife. :)

I had 1000 of them. I thought it would last a while. I have another 1500 on order. They should be here in about a week.
Who would have thought? Free stuff sells like hotcakes.

An amazing opportunity to educate our kids on the value and proper handling of a great tool. Being a chef it is always amazing when I am working with kids and showing them how to use a 6" chefs knife. The looks I receive from parents and grandparents baffle me. Teach them how to respect the blade, handle the blade and store it and everything will be fine! Cuts will inevitably happen but also a great time to teach them the value of First Aid!

Thank you Derrick for a great offer and thanks for thinking of the future generation.

Great gesture! My kids both have gotten their first knives already, but I still appreciate this effort for other folks.
If you're selling them with names engraved after you get done giving them away, I'll buy a couple. I bet my two would like personalized Bucks!

I don't think I've ever ordered from you before. That needs to change.

I'd like to buy my two knives as well if that's an option

Yes, let us get unburied, then you can purchase the 285 and put engraving details in the comments section. We currently have the ones to purchase off line because we are completely sold out.

Well, that was fun!

We gave away 4000 knives.

We had 1000 in stock and 3000 are on their way to us. So, all in all, there will be 4000 new knife lovers out there soon.

I'm not sure what the next phase will look like, but we have started a waiting list for people to be in line for the next step. https://www.knivesshipfree.com/kids-first-knife

Thanks to everyone who participated.

It is fun giving someone a knife/gift(singular) that appreciates it so this must be a blast!
Very generous of you and I hope can patronize your business soon.

I don't have any kids but I sure do wish you many happy returns on this investment you're putting out. There is no way any P&L statement on this project can be justified by itself. Again, I wish that the goodwill you are sowing will come back to you several times fold.

This was super fantastic and very well received (4000 knives! WOW!!). My hat's off KSF!

Derrick, what an amazing gesture! Seriously, I think you're a class act for doing something like this.

I'll have to buy something from you this week.

WOW!
Hard to find the words. I too ordered one for my grandson.
I have watched the videos and especially love the latest "vent" response to the concerned parents about giving knives to kids. The balloon was a great touch.

I support you 100%.

Both my sons (both grown men now), were raised around knives and guns. They were taught safety and given the appropriate guns and knives based on ability, age, my judgement, and the situation. They know the danger of using these tools. 40+ years in the outdoors for me and 16 and 21 years for them. ZERO accidents. Countless memories.

Next stop - BUY FROM DERRICK at knivesshipfree and return some of the generosity!!!!

Thanks to both of you for all you do.

We just received the knife you sent to my son. He is very excited and it really is a great touch to have his name on the blade.

I understand that this generous act has caused you a lot of headaches due to greedy trolls trying to take advantage. I am sorry that it had to go down like that. I hope you are cheered up a bit by the picture of my son and his new knife.

Thank you very much. It won't be forgotten!

I have been trying to figure out a way to help parents pass on their love for knives to their kids. So we decided to do an educational campaign to help parents pick out that first knife and give it to their son or daughter in a responsible manner.

Then we got the idea to help them even more. I picked out a knife for them specifically, and are going to send it to the parents at no charge for them to give to their kids.

Missed it, but that was a very cool thing you did.
I'll make sure to shop at your site when I'm getting my twin boys their first knives.
