It shoots great! Accurate and reliable so far. It does have a slittle snap when shooting +P loads through it, due to being so small and light. It's actually my wife's pistol, but we swap up carry guns every now and then.
Yes it’s very reliable and consistent but I’ve had to work with it more…guess I’m just used to bigger guns , but I handle my little Keltecs great but they don’t have near the recoil either. Some days it’s a love-hate relationship!

It is small in the hand. I carry full size guns most of the time, unless I need complete concealment and then I’ll carry a compact.

Funny I was talking with Alone Alone about the same thing earlier.
About 10-11 years ago a local guns store had a used HK P7 for $600. Looking at what they are worth now, I should have bought it. It was a PD trade in, so it had holster wear, etc but still. Thankfully, I did have the opportunity to shoot one shortly thereafter so at least I can say I shot one. Really cool gun. I've shot a .40 HK USP, the Sig P226, 229, and 220k. as well as a Beretta 96FS. Also numerous 1911's-Colt, Kimber, S&W, and Rock Island.

As far as the 1911, I like the Springfield Ronin Operator they had at my LGS in .45. I may have to get it. I'm holding on to my PX4 in .40, though I have someone interested in buying it, it may be a few months. To be honest, I'm afraid to list it on gunbroker because there is no paypal/venmo, etc, I'd need a money order or certified check. I feel weird about that.

I would feel better about money order or certified check than PayPal but that is me. I am old school when it comes to money

I really need a 1911 in .45acp.

Just like I really need a Browning Hi-Power, CZ 75 variant, Beretta 92/M9, HK P7, USP/P30/P2000, Sig 226/9 etc. NEED!!!!!

Everyone needs at least one 1911, and if only one it has to be 45.

I've been pretty lucky in guns, I have all of those but the HKs (because I don't like them) but man my list of knives would be Shirogorov, Blomerus, Sinkevich...

As much as I want to consolidate caliber of auto's to 9mm, but it seems blasphemy to have a 1911 in 9mm. My sister has a Kimber micro 9 w/ CT grips (gift from her uncle-in-law so jealous) and I was surprised by the recoil on it. For something that size, I'd rather have 6 shots of .357mag than 7 of 9mm. It has considerable more recoil than my P365X Sas, though it is lighter.

Do it, and in .45 for sure. But a warning - shooting a good 1911 may ruin you on other options. ;)

I can’t believe there’s no quality aftermarket for those…👎🏼
Not much imported gun, I think, otherwise I find those very comfortable, low bore axis and reliable.
Internally is almost Glock. Strange iron sights maybe is another turn off but in reality, once you're used to it, they are just fine and fast as more "fast"
iron sights. I had one of those in Europe and I was very happy with it...

Will some of the forum members post a full dust cover 1911... ?
I'd love to se some Heavy Monoliths, Commanches or some of the Springfield Armory bull barrel models (I think I saw couple of those here...)

You should have hit me up 20 years ago when I was still active in IPSC and IDPA. I owned and shot lots of full dust cover 1911's. Fast forward to today, and I wish I still had them. Now, I'm just "stuck" with regular length dust covers 1911's. :p

Never shot IDPA but I have tons of friends (mostly in EU) that shoot IPSC and we communicate almost daily...
Les Baer's Heavy Monolith is my dream gun but most likely will never own one.
Even the purists don't consider a bull barrel 1911 to be a real 1911, I love some of the Springfield Armory lines,
exceptionally shooting guns, along with some of the 2011 models I had a chance to shoot...
Years ago was some how hard to find well made 1911 that won't give you small issues, you always have to end up with those Chip McCormick mags and the rest of
the good stuff if you want reliable gun.
This days, they are tons of companies that make very reliable 1911, 9mm models and so on, you won't go wrong IMO even with some inexpensive models of RIA...
